2026 FL5 Speculation Thread

Ordered one, signed one, deposited $5k, received receipt and config profile at 12pm Tuesday. I can confirmed this is true lol. My gut feeling was yup this is the last lot, it’s now or never, so I bit the bullet without hesitation.

I admit some hesitation when I saw the new price.
But we're in it together now Lamotrigine. Where abouts are you located ?
I'm near Wollongong, south coast of Sydney.

I’m near Doncaster VIC. I originally had one allocated MY23 last year August just so I have my name on the system because I told my very close sales person to put me on a MY25 CW, he said that’s the only way to secure one before they even allowed to put my name through for a MY25 because they didn’t have the shipment confirmation back then. So I had to give consent to him to sell my allocated MY23 to someone so that they can make Honda Au owes me one CW FL5. Therefore I can instantly jump the queue when they get allocation from head office later this week or early next week lol. Very complicated story lol

I'm jealous of you guys living in Australia. We visited this year and loved it (Sydney and Cairns).

I was fine driving an automatic in Australia, not sure I could handle a stick shift, lol.

They don't offer me anything, says I need to bring it in, strange it's perfect with a 1k miles on it. I think I'm going to sell soon so once I do I'm sure they'll announce the end of the FL5.

Thanks Matt. I am looking for a low milage model since I, myself, will only drive it 3-4k miles a year (I WFH and live close to everything - it seems like half of all my driving is on Mt Lemmon lol). Therefore a car with, say, 10k miles would *feel like an older car to me. I also like to take advantage of our sales tax exception policy by buying from a private seller.

But I might go kick the tires of the one you linked. I have only briefly sat in a CTR but never driven one.

Lots of discussion and speculation about this in other threads, so figured I'd centralize it here. Will there be a 2026 FL5? If so, will that incorporate a facelift? Any spyshots, mules, leaks on the 2026 out there? Will Japan emissions standards impact production? et al.

What do you guys think will happen to values if/when they discontinue? I don’t think these things will double or anything but I do think if you find a good condition, low mileage 23-25/26 type R 10 years from now it will be worth around 40k.
