For any new MY 2025 CTR, MSRP would be considered a good price until MY 2026 is officially confirmed. I personally kept my options open between the MK8 Golf R and CTR when I was looking.. When I came across a perfect-to-me spec 20AE Golf R (only way to get manual and slick top) with only 1,700...
Thank you for the great tip. My friend will actually do the Portland to SF leg solo and I will meet him in SF for the remainder of the road trip. I will definitely pass that on to him. 👍
Thank you. It's white so it kind of blends in with other cars and harder to spot. I do frequent local cars and coffee (La Encantada, Chapman Mercedes, Mona's Pastry) and yak away with friends and fellow car enthusiasts for hours on end.
No such luck with the car being local. It is located...
The truth is I was flip-flopping between the CTR and Golf R the entire time. There are gives and takes on both: I like the Golf R's smaller size over CTR while it doesn't have a slick gearbox that the CTR has. The CTR has button controls and the best front seats while I prefer the Golf R's...
Also agreed the "being at the dealer in person" method is obsolete. It actually puts the buyer at a disadvantage because the buyer is exactly where the dealer wants them to be: at the dealer where the salesperson can run the "check with my manager" carousel on you.
Unless one is a tactical...
Possibly the same folks that paid $20k+ ADM to be amongst the early adopters
More CTRs means more aftermarket support, and broader and longer OEM part availability. In the long run it's a good thing for all owners :)
There are 48 countries that can be considered part of Asia. AU is not one of them. 👍
It is however worth noting that Honda has the courtesy to confirm the end of it for AU (and EU) but so far not for US.
In the spirit of speculation, I think there will be MY26 in the US market and at least some Asian countries.
Honda has a long standing tradition of announcing model end about a year in advance, dating at least as far back as I can remember (early 90's). It has never been their style to just...
Hyundai's current 5N and upcoming 6N have established the bench mark for such fake ICE and fake manual can be fun. The last hurdle for EV to be spots car-like fun is battery weight. Hopefully that too will be overcome within the next 5 years. 🤞
I test drove a new GRC couple months back while cross shopping. I came away very disappointed. The interior feels really cheap (probably because it is). Its sitting position is almost like that of a truck. Notably gutless until the rev gets up above 4k RPM. The clutch is quite heavily...
Ugh! If only the ITS came with CTR's front seats and "race" gauge display. In some ways I feel like they are charging more while giving less on the things I want / find important. Its $7k up charge over CTR is so ridiculous that it's only justifiable by CTR's dealer ADM... sigh
Thanks Matt. I am looking for a low milage model since I, myself, will only drive it 3-4k miles a year (I WFH and live close to everything - it seems like half of all my driving is on Mt Lemmon lol). Therefore a car with, say, 10k miles would *feel like an older car to me. I also like to take...
