Mine was $900 at the time. Could be slightly more now. Still better than the thousands of dollars the finance guy was trying to get me to sign for.
People who don’t take resale value into their vehicle purchases are doing themselves a disservice. When I bought the car it was one where I planned to keep it for a long time. I even bought hondacare for $900 bucks and I never, ever buy the extended warranty’s. Just for the fact that it was a...
I could see that. I would be surprised if they go full electric. Seems like the whole EV craze is pulling back. I know nothing, but most logically I think it will go full hybrid. Then again, the msrp on a new type r 10 years from now, if they will even make them will be 60k+.
What do you guys think will happen to values if/when they discontinue? I don’t think these things will double or anything but I do think if you find a good condition, low mileage 23-25/26 type R 10 years from now it will be worth around 40k.
any new info or leaks in regards to 2025 really being the last year? I know Japans new laws for next year make it a bit harder, but I remember seeing work arounds for that. I know honda-canada removed the type r from the website all together, but maybe that’s just the 25.
I am excited to see the Type R version of this. (Or whatever they will call it)
I know a lot is up in the air right now due to japans new laws going into effect for 2026, but I wonder if this is Hondas planned replacement until they can get a Hybrid Civic Type R out in 2029 or 2030.
take your time, make sure everything is in order and just figure it out. On the bright side, your car is going to be worth exactly the same as it is now in 3 years. Probably even longer.
No need to hold off until everything is perfect. I mean look at how far you have already come. You own a type R and are looking to move to a Porsche. “First world problems” ya know?
i just view things differently now at 35 I did 10 years ago. The only debt we have is our house, and I haven’t...
Keep the FL5. Take the extra money you spend on the Porsche each month and invest it into your future. Then some day, you will have multiple brand new Porsche’s if you stick to your plan. ?
that is part of why I chose the FL5. I wanted a sports car, but I wanted something that held its value...
I have been watching a lot of videos about the type R on the youtubes. A lot of the “recommendations” for similar content that keeps popping up on the feed are videos about the car payment crisis. So that got me wondering.
Personally I don’t believe in paying interest on something that...
Tire and wheel protection?? I bought it for 6 years when I got mine. It was $600. I figured if I used it once it would pay for itself.
i have also since bought the 8 year 100k honda care warranty for $972 all in as well.
Make them pay for a paint correction at a shop of your choosing. Get it ceramic coated while it’s there. May even work out in your favor? Have the tint moron pay for the paint correction portion then you are only on the hook for the ceramic part of it.
