There a intake call airtec very interesting to find out how it's compared to the competition out there
Just sold one he is going to do a YouTube video about it. Looks very similar to the 27won one they are releasing soon lol must have got the idea from them. also they have great cooling options I have their turbo cooler on the way

I looked at every dyno video on youtube There's not one car that has the hood closed lol
Probably due to the fact they are stationary and need to have the hood up for hot air escape, where as when you're driving the air naturally circulates through the engine bay as you move forward.

I understand that however a claim was made that prl hvi will make 20 more HP with the hood closed. And that all other intake get choked up past 400 hp because of no secondary inlet holes.

Pretty sure they do their runs with the hood closed. Yes stock with only intake but still a good video

Been running the Cobb FMIC and Intake along with the stage 2 tune for about a week now and just wanted to drop some additional thoughts on it.

Quick summary on the install process. Air Intake was really easy to drop in and everything fit really well. I did this last though as the intercooler was definitely the bigger install. The 2 things I'd note on the intercooler install is that (1) if you haven't taken your bumper off before, plan on that taking longer then expected and you need a dedicated pop clip tool and (2) have someone help with the charge pipe install. They were a really tight fit but once you get them in the right place they are solid. Putting everything back in and the bumper back on was really fast though.

Cobb Stage 2 93 Octane tune - For background, I don't have any other performance mods on the car other then running the Cobb Stage 1 93 octane tune and the car is used daily around town. Comparing to the Stage 1 tune I do feel a little more pull overall, especially starting in the 3-4K rpm range. That applies to all the gears as well, on normal streets accelerating in 1st and 2nd and on the highway putting more throttle into 3rd or 4th builds speed quicker. The car just feels faster and its easier to drive it faster. Plus the new sounds you get out of the intake make it even better. I was on the stock OEM tune a couple of months back when I took the car in for the steering recall and driving that to this is very different to say the least. Each of the Cobb tunes I can feel a step up in power and responsiveness. I'm sure there is still room as well on stage 2 so may consider a custom tune down too.

Overall if you are running a Cobb accessport you have to at least pick up the intake. There is a specific map for adding just the intake and I'm sure the gains are comparable. With the added FMIC it opens the car up to more possibilities down the line. Really happy with the parts so far and my engine bay looks much cooler with the intake now.

That’s why I’ll be going PWR when I upgrade the IC. It’s only 3lbs heavier than stock, cools extremely well, and doesn’t block nearly as much airflow to the radiator.
That's a nice IC and probably the one I would consider getting myself.

When can we expect that CARB EO to come out? Is your tune the only one recommended for this intake? Meaning, will a @Hondata tune also work?
I'm waiting for an answer on this as well. If this is CARB legal, I'd move to this from my PRL.

PRL is working on Certification so don’t jump ship yet. Also you need a tune with the Cobb so my question is can you still smog it with a tune to accommodate the maf relocation?
Not even considering you’ll void the factory warranty when you crack the ecu for the tune unless that’s not a worry or concern .

Exactly.

For us Cali folks, an intake that is CARB legal is nice, but loses its benefits real quick if a tune is required and immediately voids the warranty.

I want this intake but if I have to get rid of the Hondata Tune then it's a no go :(

Why not just get your car retuned with the Hondata
That's my question, will the off the shelf Hondata tune work? If not, then you have to drop another $200+ on a custom tune.
