I've got the full Alcantara Carismo one but don't know how the PRL wheel compares. From my experience, the Carismo one has a decent thickness in the areas where you grip the wheel the most especially in the 3 and 6 o'clock positions. Keep in mind that the Carismo one is not as round as a normal...
Noticed the same spot of oil on my car when I was under there a couple of months ago as well. I plan on taking another look and seeing if the leak is still there soon. Didn't look like a lot of oil so figured it was just a very small leak.
I posted an update last week after I got everything installed and drove it around for a couple of days. Really happy with the parts and also the stage 2 tune that I updated to. Let me know if you have any questions.
Been running the Cobb FMIC and Intake along with the stage 2 tune for about a week now and just wanted to drop some additional thoughts on it.
Quick summary on the install process. Air Intake was really easy to drop in and everything fit really well. I did this last though as the intercooler...
On my install I didn't need to trim the lower air deflector, that might be specific to the Type S. Mine fit fine in the FL5 without having to do anything there.
I did have to trim the 2 inner bumper pieces though that I mentioned in my previous post.
I only had to trim the 2 air deflectors on the inside of the bumper that route the air toward the intercooler. Those plastic pieces are also removable and easily replaceable since they are screwed on to the inside of the bumper. They cut pretty easily as well with scissors and you just need to...
Got everything installed and test drove for a bit. Running the stage 2 Cobb map that goes along with the intake and intercooler. There is a stage 1+ map if you are just doing the intake too.
Some initial thoughts below. I'll drive it for the next week to get a better feel for the differences...
Just opened the boxes, here are some pics. The intercooler is hefty. I haven't seen the PRL one in person but this one seems to be very beefy and it includes aluminum charge pipes to replace the silicone ones as well. The intake looks good too, I like the top hatch to for maintenance of the...
Picked up both the intake and intercooler and will install this weekend. I'll keep yall posted on how it goes. Comes with a stage 2 tune as well with the Cobb accessport which I'm running so should be some good gains
you are right, looks like I did the 4" tips. I think there would still be enough space to do 4.5" tips but it might be tight. Just make sure you are using a good shop that knows what they are doing since they had to build a coupler to adapt the tips to the exhaust and make sure everything looks...
I have these double wall tips from amazon installed on my stock exhaust. I did this at the same time as my dual resonator delete and the shop was able to weld them on. Check my post on the rez delete for pics and a couple of my thoughts on it
Switched out my OEM Red leather shift knob for the Acuity Titanium one. The extra weight and shape of the shift knob make a big difference in smoothness of gear transitions in my opinion.
Its a set of $90 ebay mats. I got tired of the regular black lasfit mats so I took a chance on these. They aren't great quality but they do have really good coverage in the front and in the back rows. Material feels very cheap though and I'll probably only get 1 or 2 years use out of them before...
