Interesting options.

I like the serviceability of the intake air filter, that it replaces the OEM couplers/elbow to the inlet pipe, and that it uses black hose clamps. But wouldn't a larger MAF housing send your fuel trims all over the place and require a tune?

Interesting mounting approach on the intercooler, makes me wonder how heavy it actually is. I do like that it comes with charge pipes though.

Here's the promotional video:

Thanks for doing this. Looking forward to your thoughts on the quality and fitment. Also keen to know what you think of the new map. If you could post the weight of just the core that would be helpful as well.

Just opened the boxes, here are some pics. The intercooler is hefty. I haven't seen the PRL one in person but this one seems to be very beefy and it includes aluminum charge pipes to replace the silicone ones as well. The intake looks good too, I like the top hatch to for maintenance of the filter. I'll try and weigh the IC.

Intercooler by itself weighs 21.6 lbs. No idea how much the stock one weighs but I'll find out when I take it out

Thanks, I just got that from them. 21 lbs. for just the core, no hardware. The stock intercooler weighs just under 7 lbs., 6.9 lbs. to be exact.

These are both great looking pieces. The intake will require tuning as noted.

The only flaw I see is that that this intake does not have a secondary air inlet point and will be choked on applications beyond 400whp as have all others that lack a secondary inlet point. Of course, not everyone is worried about exceeding 400whp so this will be a non issue to many.

That looks great. Don't trip about a secondary air inlet. My eventuri doesn't have it and I'm closer to 500 then 400 and my car rips lol

I definitely dig the access panel for maintenance. Sucks you have to have a tune for it (assuming because of the MAF housing size).

The intercooler looks nice too, but it is heavyyy.

Gotta watch out putting an intercooler on your car, it might prevent all the additional hot air you would otherwise get through the stock intercooler to the lower third of the radiator and cause your car to overheat. IATs be damned.

That’s why I’ll be going PWR when I upgrade the IC. It’s only 3lbs heavier than stock, cools extremely well, and doesn’t block nearly as much airflow to the radiator.
