Not that I think it's likely there will be a 26, different trims (especially the type R) are released at different times.


Last year DELIVERIES were happening in late August, my guy.

I'm aware of that but they didn't make a public announcement until October. On Hondanewsroom.com. I guess what I'm trying to say is because there's no info from Honda yet doesn't mean there not going to be. Let's see what they publish later in October. I can't find the link anymore. Only this link and look at the date.

'25s were on sale this time last year.. or like 2 weeks from now. I was seeing/looking at them in early October on lots here in Ohio. And I grabbed a '24 because of the lower MSRP $.

There is 2026 Honda Civic’s for every other trim but the Type R available….

"So you're telling me there's a chance" not only for a 2026 Type R but also variants to include a not yet selectable Limited, Limited Edition and Touring variant...Interesting

Still pretty sure that there will not be a 2026. I know someone shared an inventory photo but those can be wrong or faked. It's so late for them to announce another year at this point...

FWIW Honda still hasn't publicly released the '26 Pilot or Accord yet either. I doubt they're not continuing those models.

I think Pilot is due for one as well.

Pilot and Accord were refreshed in 23. Maybe a facelift for those.

26 accord was released in China months ago with a really nice front facelift and plug-in hybrid.

The Accord I think Honda is struggling a little what to do with. It's only like 3 inches larger than the Civic now, and in the recent years- the Civic has been outselling the Accord by a large margin- whereas just a few years ago it was pretty much neck and neck. Not saying they are doing away with it, but at this point the Accord is directly competing with itself in Acura.

and I just got this from a SoCal dealer, seems that lots of cars are at dealerships:

We just got 5 Civic Type Rs in: Rallye Red, Championship White, Crystal Black, Boost Blue, and Sonic Gray.

This is the last year for the Type R, and they’re moving fast. Want me to lock one in for you before they’re gone?

to which I responded: "there seems to be a glut, I'll wait till prices drop below MSRP"

I've never seen a dealer with five FL5 on the lot, the most I've seen was two, most had only one.

The Prelude race car has replaced the CTR race car. The Prelude race car is using a two litter engine.

The video below shows the red Honda symbol on the Prelude race car.

Does it means that Honda is planing to replace the CTR FL5 by a new Prelude Type r?

Doesn’t matter.
A 200hp hybrid automatic is a completely separate car than any Type R of any generation

Honda has to sell cars so that is all that is going on there
