Yeah, CarMax isn't doing that anymore, they are cutting offers across the board as of the last couple months, they said as much in their financial statements back in October. You probably got in just at the perfect time.
Carmax used to just really inflate prices. They offered well above market...
CarMax is HUGELY cutting offers on vehicle sales and trade ins, profits have plummeted and their stock is down in a big way.
Private party valuation is still up. KBB values my 2025 with 4100 miles at 46,500 and multiple dealers around me have pre-owned FL5s for mid 40s. Still see markups for...
Click the link he provided and then click on the site, hit "cancel" and it will load the page but without the password protected images.
The password prompt is to access Hondas image storage directly which is typical for a test site. They don't load *most* images from their CDN on test sites...
release.autos.honda.com is a test site they use for software testing website changes. I wouldn't put too much stock in it. Probably highly templated.
look at the "MSRP" listed- $1,000,000
There is no infotainment update. All 9 inch displays in civics (including CTR) moved to the A11 model, 2026 civics with 9 inch displays also have the A11 model.
The only change for the A11 model over the older A02 model is the addition of new telematics to support non-JDM civic hybrid battery...
Never said I expect them to make it that long, just saying they technically could without ever announcing a 2026. I don't think they will be making new FL5s after February or maybe March

A model year may be made for up to 2 calendar years, with the majority of the time being the year of designation...
That's not true at all. Most manufacturers start making a MY car in mid/late July and selling them by September the year before. NHTSA only requires a car is manufactured longer in the calendar yet in which it is the model year for
Accord got a facelift in China last year along with a new mass market plugin hybrid system. Honda may still be working on the logistics of facelift and new PHEV for other markets.
It's been getting progressively harder to buy cars. Honestly it started with Cash For Clunkers in the US. That killed the used car market and started driving new car sales and prices up.
Keep in mind the 24 was on lots almost 2 months prior. That Newsroom announcement just coincided with price increases. Oddly they missed the announcement on GA on the 24 on the newsroom site, and Honda published materials dating back to August
CTR isn't going to ever go up on value. Not even the S2000 is up in "value". The CTR will retain value pretty well, but very few cars hold up to inflation.
2026 FL5 has been registered with NHTSA since the 2026 base civic was registered.
JHMFL5G47TMH09000 is a valid VIN according to NHTSA and comes to a 2026 CTR. HOWEVER just because you can validate a vin- it doesn't mean the car exists.
Edit: there are plenty of non existent cars on NHTSA...
Likely 27 or 28 Accord Hybrid. Honda says it is a midsize not C-class, so def not Civic.
This isn't surprising, Honda has been pushing new Hybrid tech with the Accord in China paired with Dongfeng. China got a facelifted plug in hybrid accord in 2024. They planned a plug in hybrid accord with...
Maybe? But that's been the price of the 25 for a while, I'd be surprised if the 26 (if/when it comes out) would only be that much. I think it's likely to be 48+
Page appears to be unchanged from February of 25 when it was published.

Haha yeah that's an awful image, but that's just NHTSAs default example of a hatchback. They don't use actual images of vehicles. I think all pickup trucks look like 2005 F150s on their VIN lookup site
