Gyeon has great coatings. Personally, we use Gtechniq.
I’ve heard great things about gtechniq.

I only have experience with gyeon mohs, synchro, feynlabs Odin and can coat sadly

when I feel more confident I’d love to give gtechniq a go

The CSL + EXO coatings are hobbyist friendly. The CS requires you to take their class and get "certified" for it and only for businesses.

I went with the auto dimming/homelink mirrors. Works magic. But this is a nice option as well vs the overrated Spoon mirrors
How was the install? I've been seeing owners who've done it experience even more rattling from that plastic under piece.

My neighbor actually got it done at the dealer on his fl5. Even in plus r mode it doesn’t rattle

maybe there’s an install technique the dealer knows that folks don’t? Or maybe just luck?

Yeah my buddy is a master tech for Honda and was gonna do the install, was just curious about the rattle since I already get a little when the AC is on after my exhaust install lol

Oh gotcha. When I swapped to a q300 cat back. I did get rattles. Around 2500-3k rpm mostly. But I swapped the resonator for a megaphone. No rattles yet. The existing one kinda disappeared? I figured it was just a shitty resonator or unproperly sized?

Rattles are very car dependent. I have rattles that comes and goes from day 1 and nothing has been taken apart!

Oh gotcha. My neighbor had about 18k miles when he got the mirror done iirc correctly. No rattles in his

I had like 2k miles. A hair over 2k. No rattles yet thankfully. I did have a center console rattle from 2.5-3k rpm occasionally after I swapped the exhaust. Then on a whim I swapped out the resonator for a megaphone and that rattle disappeared. Maybe it was just harsh resonance? I dunno

edit: have* not had. Sorry.

I did this upgrade on my FK8 when i had it so i was familiar with the install process, however the mirror itself on the FL5 mounts definitely, and the cable routing is really well thought out, just have to make sure the felt tape is at it’s appropriate position/location. If need be one can always buy more felt tape. But i haven’t had any rattle from my installation of it. I also installed a dash cam on the same day, so no rattle from that as well.

Appreciate the insight! I love how clean it looks and its larger than the OEM flip up from what I can see.

How's the anti-glare at night? I was gonna do the auto-dimming mirror route, but this could be viable.
Got to drive around a bit tonight. It definitely cuts out the glare from other headlights quite a bit.
I had a lifted truck come up behind me and did not have issues with glare from their headlights.

Its been awhile since I had one of those old school JDM Broadway mirrors so I'm getting used to the wide angle of this rearview mirror. Other than that, so far so good.

People SUCKS! Why not just remove the ppf yourself now? If the bumper chip up, then you can replace your bumper in the future?
i was scared i was gonna damage the paint. I removed the bumper to readjust it because it looked like it was sagging to find out getting hit seems to have broken some of the tabs on the bumper so it doesnt really stay in place. trying to source a new bumper now 😞
