A few people have made them, I think primarily to make screwing in the driver easier but you can get some more depth too. A member sent me one but I haven’t used it since my current setup works.

Honestly, the box is so small I doubt you would get much out of a deeper driver. Either use the cheap 1ohm driver with stock power or go custom.

I published a sub ring model you can print yourself or send me a few bucks and I can send you one. It's only 1/4" thick, can make it deeper, but icehawk knows what he's talking about, not much to be gained with a larger sub in the tiny box.

Found the connectors for the Bose tweeters for anyone who wants to plug directly into the factory wiring without hacking it all up. Link is from AliExpress

Also, the connector for the center speaker should be the same as the one for the subwoofer. Link from AliExpress.
It looks like these tweeter plugs aren't being shipped to the US anymore. Has anyone been able to find another source for them?

Older thread, but I joined this group just to contribute to this post since it was my main source of information along with a YouTube vid. I ended up going the Amped route along with the LC2i as the LOC specifically to use the AccuBass feature. I’m using a JL Audio JD250/1 amp that has high level inputs but when I installed it without the LOC, it lacked bass. Added the LOC AND after setting my gains, I’m able to keep the bass on the BOSE head unit at about 25% which limits distortion at the door speakers. I installed the remote level controller for the amp so I’m able to adjust bass levels according to what I’m listening to while having little distortion. The subwoofer I went with is the JL 8w1v3. No polyfill, no sound deadening and I’m actually very very impressed with the amount of bass out of the sub. It wiggles the nose and for an entry level 8”, I was not expecting that. Picked up the amp on eBay for $120 and the sub for $150 and the LC2i was picked up for $75 plus about $80 for the amp wiring kit along with miscellaneous accessories such as a quick disconnect in case I actually need to use the spare tire. All in I’m close to $425 for some extraordinary bass. I did have a slight rattle at the rear license plate but was able to place some carpet lining foam in between the plate and the rear hatch. And that eliminated the slight noise. I do plan on upgrading the front and rear speakers with the Memphis Audio since they do offer the 6.5” in both 4 and 2 ohm versions. I’ll make another post with the results of that upgrade in the near future. Thanks Icehawk for the inspiration

Wow nice job, that looks awesome! I was pretty much set on installing a 10" sub in a traditional box and eating up some trunk space, but this gives me a little nudge to keep the stock enclosure.

I’ve had a powered JL Audio ACP110LG with a single 10” in my previous car and this surprisingly hits harder. For about half the price since I did the install myself plus my car is the actual grocery getter so having as much trunk space without having to remove the sub was ideal.

Have a friend that did something similar with the 11th gen Accord Touring using an audiocontrol sub and adding sound deadening to the doors and trunk. The results were quite impressive, his mounting solution wasn't as elegant though, will have to use your setup as inspiration.

And where did you go through the firewall for your power wire?
Drilled the firewall and used the grommet that was included in the amp wiring kit. If needed I can find the YouTube vid I followed. EDIT* ATTACHED LINK. Seen some people use an existing grommet and just poke a hole through it but seem janky and risky.

Has anyone tried swapping the ELS speakers from the Integra into the Civic? It might not be much of an upgrade compared to after market, but I would imagine most of the speakers would be plug and play. I figure it might make swapping things like the a-pillar tweeters easier.
