No, they are all the same. Get whatever is cheapest.
This is an unpopulat opinion on this forum, but I wouldn't recommend any. I installed the collars and couldn't feel any difference on the street or track.
The idea of these collars is that they take up the slop between the subframe and...
They just dampen vibrations in the chassis, which may reduce NVH. Some of the manufacturers make wild claims about increasing chassis rigidity and improving handling, but that is nonsense.
Honda has said that they won't, but who knows. If you are concerned, it's easy to remove the TCU so that no one can remotely connect to your car to pull data.
I installed the MRT resonator delete a few weeks ago. Be aware that the pipe is not expanded at the ends. It is almost exactly the same diameter as the stock exhaust piping. I had to go to a local parts shop and rent and exhaust expander in order to get the MRT pipe to slip over the factory...
I tried to buy the ZL1 pads, but just ended up filing a credit card dispute with them. I ordered over 4 weeks ago and at the time their website showed that the parts were in-stock. I still haven't recieved them and can't get ZL1 to respond to me via phone or email.
I'm running -2.5 degrees up front which clearly isn't enough. This was my front left tire after two track days. I will probably go to -3.0 degrees up front before my next track day.
I don't have any experience with SR-11 pad, but I would advise against the Paragon P3. They were the worst brake pads I have ever owned. The P3 claims to be dual purpose, but they are terrible at everything. They can't handle track duty and they make a lot of noise on the street.
We don't do it because we aren't legally allowed to.
Until a car is 25 years old, it is very difficult, if even possible, to legally import a car into the US.
I have the PRL RMM and do get some vibration at idle with the A/C on. It is a little annnoying but definately worth the trade-off IMO.
Hardrace recently released their RMM. I haven't seen any reviews on it, but their products tend to have softer bushings that transmit less NVH...
Is there any concensus on whether vented spalsh guards are actually effective at reducing coolant temps? PLM has theirs on sale for $250 plus an additional 5% off today, so I'm thinking about pulling the trigger.
I thought this was an interesting question, so I figured it out.
Assumptions:
The pump hose has 1/3 gallon of 87 octane fuel
FL5 fuel tank is 12.4 gallons
Results:
If you always fill up at 50%, you will have an actual octane rating of 92.68.
If you always fill up near empty, you will have an...
You can absolutely take an SI to the track. If you are new to HPDE's you'll have fun in just about anything.
However, if you end up getting hooked and want to do a lot of track days, the Type R might actually be more affordable in the long run. It will likely require less modifications and it...
I have the PRL collars.
All of the positive reviews are what convinced me to give these a try.
I haven't driven all that hard, since the install. I have a track day in a few weeks though. I will come back and ammend my original post if my opinion changes.
I regret the subframe rigid collars. I had a really hard time believing that they would actually do anything, but I grabbed a set on Black Friday. I have had them installed for two weeks now and I can confidently say that they did nothing for the feel of the car. I'm sure they will make it...
