So the HR is worse than the remark dual tip in that 2.5k - 3k rpm range, going to give it a little more time to see if it breaks in a bit, but may be switching back to the remark or just go back to the oem.
Really? Always heard the HR exhaust is one of the best when it comes to dealling with drone

me too, thats why i ended up ordering, but so far it's a bit obnoxious in that 2.5-3k rpm range inside the car in either mode

Did you install it with the FL5 factory valve controller, or their on/off style controller? I much prefer it with the factory controller.

I locked open the valve by doing the fuse trick and it's perfect for a daily. I've always been more of an intake noise guy than exhaust anyway so it's just a little bit louder with all the other benefits of a stock exhaust.

That’s disappointing. I went back to stock with the valve mod over the weekend and I’ve been enjoying the car more these last few days. It seems like every exhaust option for these cars has at least some form of drone and my ears are obviously past dealing with that.
ended up giving the HKS legamax a shot and glad I did, Definitely quieter in the cabin over the remark dual tip and sounds better

Any chance you can share some sound clips? I’m seriously considering this exhaust.
Being in CA, I’m wondering how the cops handle it.

I’ll try to grab some this week. It’s really pretty quiet. Should have any issues with cops. I’m in NorCal so wanted something that didn’t attract much attention

Another Magnaflow video for those considering this unit.

It’s a good looking tip design, and I do dig that it comes with a resonator and delete. That being said, the tone with the resonator didn’t do it for me. The delete sounds good, but I think it would drive me crazy. Haha.

Also 2 1/2 inch pipes 🤨 saw a YouTuber unboxing and it was packed horribly with a dented muffler plain box with no markings. Don’t know if it was a dealer Issue but looked pretty cheesy and definitely wasn’t impressed with the sound most importantly with and without the resonator and the welds looked less then desirable . Made me even happier I went with my Remark SS especially with magnaflow being one of my top choices 😳
Ran magnaflow years ago with with a few American muscle cars and was really happy with them so this was a surprise.
The center pipe had a stainless edge with the outside tips black cf looked funky.
The welds on my remark are eye candy even though you never see them it says a lot about the quality of the exhaust .

I agree there are certainly some quirks to what the YouTuber experienced. He also didn’t seem especially enthusiastic with the end result.

The remark does seem like the better route in that price range.
