I'm driving down and need to figure out a wheel tire situation.
Ive currently got an OEM set of wheels/tires with 1 season on them, and a set of winter 18's. I was thinking about going to a lower TW tire after mine were gone, but that would be after the track day possibly. I also don't want to...
I did drive VIR a loooong time ago, and haven't done much sim driving on the track so an instructor is probably a good idea anyway, and this would be my first track day in the FL5.
I haven't done any HDPE track days though, mainly just with groups in Cali, the Midwest and a bunch of tracks in Europe. Guess I'm going to be in the novice group. :)
There is nothing wrong with running spacers on a street car or mild track use car. I noted in another thread about spacers specifically that the NSX guys run HUGE spacers, like 25mm in the rear with no issues and have been for decades, street and track use. Will it put a small amount of extra...
I mean yes. But so does every mod. It's all little extra stressors, and parts will wear a tiny bit faster. It's up to you if that's worth it or not. It's the best part of owning and modifying your cars!
Why didn't the manual key work?
I'm going to go disconnect my battery and see if the manual key works. For science.
Edit: Manual key works fine with battery disconnected and the car locked. I could hear the key turn the lock, let the handle return to normal position, pulled again and car door...
We've got a pretty thin tire and looking back at the video those were some pretty bad potholes. One looked like a filled pothole that didn't have time to settle and got the filled asphalt pushed up into a ridge. Suggestion 1 is find some better roads.
The 275/35 is a good suggestion if you...
I think it looks better without a wing if you have a somewhat aggressive stance and AM wheels. There are a few examples around and they look pretty good, especially in person.
Appreciate the effort and insight for this piece.
For me it was just adjust in the driveway, drive around the block, do some full throttle shifts, come back, make a small adjustment, try again, repeat.
I think even if they had better descriptions you wouldn't ever get it right out of the box and you would need to adjust the two main settings...
That is the carbon overlay for the shifter console. My company has a few contracts with mfgs in China and while they do pump out a lot of cheap stuff, they also have come a long way in mfg in general and if you hire the right company/engineering team they can do work on par with any other mfg in...
Get a tune first. Jester and Phearable make a stage 2 tune that really changes a lot about the car and IMO makes it perfect for a daily.
I've done springs, intake, Acuity shifter, and S2 tune and the car is the perfect daily for me. Going right to a bigger turbo without doing anything else...
Seconded, it seems like a no brainer if you are looking for power gains/dollar. I have the PRL and love it, and it had a great result in hp for the price. Not sure of cobb data as I haven't seen any independent testing yet.
