Correct - I highly recommend using a cheaper driver for subwoofer replacement unless you are amping. The ROI just isn't there using the stock electronics. For the price of that AF driver you could replace all the other speakers pretty much and get a lot better SQ for the dollar. The RF Punch I had previously in the box didn't sound any better than the Recoil, IMO due to the electronics driving everything.

IMO - in this order: Front Door (only 2ohm speaker), Front Tweeter, Rear Door, Rear Tweeter. Center Dash and Subwoofer (1ohm) are small gains and I would venture can be skipped or inexpensive drivers used. Rear hatch speakers are an absolute "don't bother".

Excuse the dust and crappy pics. I've been doing the installs in my freezing garage here in Upstate NY. I installed the PRL Wing Risers and did the rear wiper delete. For those who plan to do the risers or a different wing, I suggest using a magnetic socket. I also stuffed a rag in the hatch in case a bolt fell. I read stories on here if guys losing bolts into the hatch and I didn't want to take any chances.

Did the OEM Type R black carpeted mats $130 and Type S shift knob (used $80).

Got a lot of hate for these two changes on my instagram lol ( 772TypeR )

Ha! I got tuxmats and completely hid the red carpet. I could careless who hates.
The black mats break up all the bright red in my opinion.

Idk why the hate on the DE5 Knob! It matches perfectly. The OEM knob sticks out like a sore thumb.

Not gonna lie. It’s a harsh contrast between boost blue and Type R red. I like the black carpet. Tones down that blaring contrast.

Installed my front splitter from artwork bodyshop, asked them reduce the sides by an inch to make it more flush with the bumper.

I was just on their site the other day, wondering if they'd shorten the sides. Any more pictures, head on?
