First oil change (5k miles), test drove a GRC (core), and “installed” matte CF door sill trim. I used the one from Amazon I linked a couple days ago, they look good and fit perfectly.

GRC was OK, the clutch and shifter were both a good deal heavier than the FL5's - not sure I'd want to daily it in our traffic here to be honest if I was doing a lot of commuting. Interior is simple and clean, felt less cheap than I expected/remembered. Power is decent but there is no excitement to the engine, I think because the power delivery is very flat through the rev band. Felt more like a supercharged engine than a turbo TBH. Exhaust sounds better than the FL5 but that's not saying much. I even faintly heard it blowoff once or twice. Ride comfort seemed good, the seats were SUPER comfy but basically no lateral support. The trunk is hilarious btw, I mean wow it's about half the size you would expect. It's the Miata of hatchbacks :D I think this would be a decent car for my wife, heavy clutch aside, and I'd probably enjoy it too on occasion.
It was pleasure to meet you today, I was the one that took you for the test drive. I only realized it was you after seeing your license plate when you were leaving. Hit me up if you got any questions

I ordered it form Black Hawk Japan. Don't do what I did......I mistakenly ordered the strut bar for FK8 from a different outfit and it will NOT bolt up. That place had the correct one back order so I used Black Hawk Japan.
Good advice. Thanks for the info.

I did the MRT small resonator delete today. Gives more low end/RPM noise, a little hint of rowdiness. Nothing crazy. For $200 it’s a nice improvement and will keep me from thinking about catbacks.

Also did a few things to my 86, which has been stored. First time really driving the two back to back. Aaaaauuugghhhhh can’t wait til spring. To unleash that beast and also get the PS4S’s on the civic and see what it can really do.

Too large for the Acuity, the Acuity has a smaller diameter vs the OEM collar. I tried padding the Acuity with some tape but I just couldn't get it to look 100%.
I played around with it a bit and discovered that you just need to use two zip ties on the Acuity collar. Looks and works great!

Nah man, you got wrinkles and I can't go for that.
He did a better job than I did... I installed mine yesterday, and I was pretty upset with the wrinkles I left behind, but I was mainly looking to confirm fitment, and I want to limit the number of times I rip the center console off... also have my fingers crossed Acuity will have their shifter out by the time I break my car out in the spring and have to re-do the boot, so I can do them at the same time. (Unfortunately, Overland doesn't do a DE5 boot, so I have to make the OEM one work).

Yours looks pretty good! I saw that Raceseng makes a collar that they claim hides all the wrinkles near the top, but I like the quick-change "pull to release" feature that the Acuity provides.

It's this one: https://raceseng.com/products/shift-boot-collar
