Took apart the front of the car to check each speaker, one thing to note:

ONLY the door speaker is 2ohm, both the tweeters and center channel are 4ohm.

Also, these Bose drivers are (unsurprisingly) lightweight junk. Something you'd buy off Sonix for $5.

Recently got my plate and went to visit the daughter at her alumni weekend in Gettysburg.
Like minds brother! I got my vanity plate a couple weeks ago. We're very close in badge number. Great shot btw!

Inspired by another member to do the DEI braided heat shield over the rubber hoses. Took too long. Will need to replenish patience for other hoses.

Xpel Cermic tint installed--50% on the windshield, and 20% around the rest.

@urbo73 Can you weigh in on this?
So I called around a few dealer parts departments and found out that those are indeed staples to secure the cover. They said you would need a tool to use them, but couldn't point me to a specific gun, just suggested I bring the part to an auto parts/walmart/upholstery shop to see what would work. Just reached out to Sweidit (guy who is making my FK8 rear seat covers) and he said his covers don't need this, but still thought I would try to find answers for FL5 owners looking to do this OEM accessory mod. If there is anyone who installed the FL5 covers personally themselves (and not had it done by a shop) and used the staples, pretty sure they can give better feedback though. But doesn't seem to be an official US part, so probably not too many I imagine.

The C clips are an official part (04810-SB3-000). You can find them in the U.S. parts catalog. They're also used on the front seats.

To clarify, I was referring to the FL5 rear seat alcantara covers (they're EDM right?).

Thanks for clarifying, I misunderstood. The suede-like (not Alcantara) rear seat covers are in various markets, not just EDM.

So it looks like in your case, the shop who did the install either found a way to secure the cover without the staples you provided (if I remember you saying the shop didn't need to use any of your provided hardware), or used their own upholstery staples they had with their guns.

Correct.
