The larger intake will help especially with an upgraded inlet. Anything that you can do to reduce pre turbo inlet pressures it will make it easier for the turbo to move air. While it might not be a substantial change in power for lower numbers it still helps. On a bigger turbo setup is where you will appreciate a bigger difference.Thanks for posting this. While these tests or shootouts are never perfectly scientific they're still enjoyable to watch and are good enough. It seems the PRL is the best performing intake relative to price. Armaspeed, Infinity Design, Eventuri, and GruppeM appear to have seperated themselves from the others not only in performance but fit, finish, and overall quality. Of course all that goodness comes at a high cost.
I'm keen to know if the gains over the stock air box are nullified once the vehicle is tuned. In other words, if you were to tune the same car with the stock air box and then tuned the car with the GruppeM intake for example, would the results more or less be the same? Will an aftermarket intake allow you to tune for more power over the stock air box? If the answer is 'no', once tuned is an aftermarket intake largely a sound and lower IAT play? @Vito.FL5 @Jester04 Thoughts?
Have you had a chance to test the Eventuri? I have tested the PRL with good results but still have not come across a Eventuri to get data.In our testing we found that PRL's extra duct made a 20whp difference on a car tuned at 400WHP and above. Any intake without an extra air inlet source is seemingly choked when that much airflow is demanded. I'm still surprised that Eventuri decided to leave out the extra duct for the FL5 platform.

Very little since it was shortly after that he wrecked. Also he only had the box and not the full intake kit, plus he was also on a stock turbo which limits the data. I honestly don’t think there is too much to be had on a stock turbo. Maybe around 5-10hp, on a bigger turbo car you will see jumps of 20-30whp when the intake becomes a restriction.I thought you performed some testing and/or data collection from @PointByPatrol .
