Well I’m glad it went to a good home. But it makes me wonder if I should reorder one for myself. Will it really cause issues in the winter for me?
The biggest issue is that you have to turn a code off. And if your state has emissions it might affect that. That is why for your specific application I did not recommend it.

Javier can delete the code, but when it's cool out is stays really low, so I'm a bit nervous.

I guess you’ll find out in a few months. Do let us know.

You will be fine since it will still reach operating temperature. Oil will also heat up enough to keep the engine stable.

Just a few days to go before the next track event. It's going to be ridiculously hot out on Saturday. This is a private event, which means unlimited track time. I'm running factory coolant. Curious to see how the car holds up to the temps. This will be a good gauge of the spoon thermostat. If the car starts to run hot then I'll pull of the track.

I've also been working with @Jester04 on the tune. Current setup is very strong. We estimate roughly 390-395 at the wheels. At this point the factory downpipe and exhaust are really holding me back.

I think the biggest restriction specifically is the downpipe and the front pipe. The rest of the exhaust should be fine for that power but still. More things to come! The 320-330g/s are impressive from such a small turbo.

You gave that s2k a break ?.

Also great to see the car moving so well with that heat.
John, the S2k driver is an animal! I have never bested him. He has that suspension completely dialed in, and his motor is bone stock.
