I don't know what I was expecting, but it should have been exactly this lol. Still disappointing.

One thing I'm still thinking about though is dealer support. I've made no secret of my feelings for my local dealer service, but if they attach a warranty along with these parts and installation I still might consider it.

But honestly probably not. I feel like that ship has pretty much sailed for me and I don't really trust the dealer to do anything right, so it is just too tough to justify any sort of premium for an HRC sticker on these.
Generally, since these are Honda approved aftermarket options they would come with a warranty but there are some conditions.

The part has to be:

1). Purchased through an authorized dealer
2). Installed by an authorized dealer
3). THe warranty only applies to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred to any subsequent owners.

If these parts are bought and installed through your Honda dealer at the time you pruchase your brand new Honda then they also fall under the 3 yr/ 36,000 miles factory limited warranty.

Idk what the warranty structure wwould be otherwise, they will have a warranty though, all aftermarket Honda approved parts have one.

That shifter looks tempting but I don’t see the point if it costs more than buying direct from Acuity

it’s not like anyone will see HRC branding under the console, does it include a console badge visible anyway?

might even get the badge third party too for cheaper, lol

This is just a pretty big bummer in general. Ridiculous prices for rebranded products.
Some of the stuff currently on their site are actually reasonably priced. Brake rotors, SS Brake lines, Rear Upper Control arms, Rear lower control arms, Hasport engine mount set(be advised these are the race version), Oil sump baffle, and the Titan-7 TS-5 forged wheel are all cheaper than if they were bought through the OEM supplier.

IDK why the RV6 rear sway bar is so much more expensive though.

This is through the Touring portal, though, and unlikely to reflect offerings for normal public / consumers, right?

I don't think we should be basing our expectations for offerings or pricing off that portal, or am I wrong?

The general public can buy through the portal you just have to make a Racing memebership account which takes 2 minutes and just requires to confirm that you understand that the parts you're buying are for off-road use only and that any part you buy doesn't have a warranty.

I don't believe that same policy will apply to the parts just announced though. I only posted that to show that not every HRC part is ridiculously over priced.

So I’ve been going back and forth on whether or not I want spacers or wheels with a wider offset due to the potential impact on the driving characteristics of the car. But now that honda is offering a +45 offset wheel, I feel a bit more comfortable going for it. is it safe to say the impact would be negligible if any at all? Especially given that most of the track builds I’ve seen even have wheels sitting flush with the fenders.

It’s not the spacer itself that changes the handling characteristics of the car, it’s the change in effective offset that the spacer creates. In other words, the FL5 was designed and engineered for the OEM wheels and the OEM accessory wheels (forged alloy) with a +60 offset. A wheel with a different offset will effectively have the same effect as running a wheel spacer that replicates the same offset. So, in purely geometric terms, a wheel + spacer combination behaves the same as a wheel of the same effective offset.
