  1. Which Aftermarket Exhaust Do You Have?

I did some digging re the MXP(Mackin Industries) exhaust I dropped above. Promo video sounds different from the real world in person vid's I have heard (I know iPhone's don't do it justice and promos are just that, promos to sell the exhaust). Either way, IMO given the engine/turbo set up for...
  2. Stage 1: All Season Tires on FL5

I def think if you are using a hub-centric spacer like the one you dropped above that a 12MM will work. There are guys running 10MM spacers with no issues so an odd number like 12mm shouldn't be much different. 15 MM seems to be pretty common as well. Good luck my guy.
  3. Stage 1: All Season Tires on FL5

No idea. I like the security of a hub-centric spacer utilizing a stud with full thread as opposed to a slip on spacer where you would be using less thread on stock stud. Seems risky no ?
  4. Stage 1: All Season Tires on FL5

I am running 20mm in the front and 25mm in the rear. You'll be fine. Make sure you get a quality spacer (H&R )
  5. Stage 1: All Season Tires on FL5

I feel the opposite. 18's look too small (unless the car is dropped). IMO a 35 profile tire is def needed for sure but 19's are perfect and with the right offset and drop <chef's kiss>.
  6. Stage 1: All Season Tires on FL5

    Now lower it - lol
  7. Robo7's OEM+ FL5 Build Journal

    Good angle showing a 265/35/19 on H&R's with +20(fr) & +25(r) spacer set up.
  8. Are spacers that bad?

Wheel bearings, shmeel bearings- lol. Have fun and Merry New Cheer everyone !!
  9. Robo7's OEM+ FL5 Build Journal

I hear ya on the drilling thing. Project Aero e-mailed me last night stating front and rear don't require drilling but the side skirts do. Deal breaker for me. Might grab the lip when tariffs are rolled back. Cheers
  10. Robo7's OEM+ FL5 Build Journal

Nice write up. I personally love the way the car drives with the H&R's and a 35 profile tire. Plenty of grip for my DD applications and I did not notice much if any handling trade-offs when I swapped and I have been on them for over a year now. Maybe give them time to settle ? I am curious...
  11. New Vented Under Tray

@Pho Thanks for the link. QQ: It looks like with the CJ's bolts we only get 6 but looks like the WOT undertray has 8 holes. In addition to using the 6 CJ's did you use 2 of the WOT supplied bolts for the 2 quarter turns ?
  12. New Vented Under Tray

@pho- Do you have a link to the Chasing JS bolts you used to secure the undertray ??
  13. I will take another in CW please!!

You can always tell a new owner (lol). Many posts on this my guy. I like this type of stuff as well. Separates the FL5 from the DE5.
  14. New Vented Under Tray

    Merry X-Mas to me.
  15. New Type R owner

Welcome guy. You have good taste.
  16. Tire question

Just a side note. With a 265/35 even if you are lowered you won't rub (unless you plan on slamming it which I take it you are not going to do). For reference, I am lowered on H&R's, run a 35 profile tire with H&R spacers (+40 in the front and +35 in the rear) with zero issues. Cheers .
  17. Tire question

Makes sense. I count myself as fortunate as I live 2 minutes from a tire shop and the owner is a car guy. He has an M2 and his best friend has a Blue FL5 so the shop is familiar with the platform and the reverse mount requirement for our cars. Sorry to hear they messed up one of your rims. I...
