Look at allll the regular Hondas on the road from the past 20 years, that only get oil changes when the maintenance minder beeps. I think the Honda filter works just fine.
If it got on the hood I'd assume something sprayed on the serpentine belt. Maybe turbo line failure? Either way will be covered in warranty, have no fear!
In terms of performance you will see no changes. The FK8/FL5 works on air charge and torque tables. Even if it can flow better it won’t take advantage, because it reaches its target and stops making power.
