With a drop in filter, exhaust and upgraded intercooler with charge pipes and no plans on doing a downpipe or upgraded turbo would you go with Cobb Accessport or Hondata?

From what I can tell…homdata can do everything Cobb can but Cobb can’t do everything Hondata can.

They both need you to jail break your ecu and have it sent out, hondata will allow you spoof emissions and Cobb will not. The biggest positive I can see for Cobb is they have way more tuners that utilize their platform so dyno tunes may be easier to find in your area and it seems like Cobb will give tuners the ability to unlock the ecu so hopefully not needing to mail your ecu.

Hondata 10000%

COBB can't disable CELs and has a history of dropping support for products that don't earn enough. Also just got into some hot water and got hit with a big fine. Too corporate for my liking.

As another perspective, the Cobb Accessport provides gauges, diagnostics and datalogging directly on the device. I’ve been using one for years and it’s been flawless. Since OP stated no plans for a downpipe, spoofing emissions should not be an issue.

Can’t you just do this on a laptop using hondata?

There seem to be a lot of new users on here simping for COBB.... curious. Companies pay good money for that.

Just because you aren't using a DP now doesn't mean you wont want one in the future. Nice to have flexibility. There is also no flex fuel support for COBB.
