No throttle equals no air moving through the intake and into the FMIC. That's why the temps drop when hitting the gas, engine is heat soaking sitting still so temps rise.
I am betting your are smoking that clutch on that tune. For Si that's one of the first mods you do once tuned. ST hatch is not much different in that it also has a weak clutch.
Just get the tune and ask for John Vega to disable the 02 sensors for the DP.
Then if you want to put it on later, no revision necessary. That’s why I did.
Well put it this way, the PRL HVI for the FL5 comes with one and it works wonderfully. They did do research and got cooler ambient temps being pulled away from the Engine heat in the bay.
No Phearable is not double dipping. The original owner should have known John Vega's tunes are car specific and not transferable. Its all over their website and when your receive your tune, he states it again. Again not his fault, it's yours and the sellers for not doing the research.
John...
Well @ 6000 miles in 6 months you are definitely driving the car lol.
My suggestion if you keep having this conversation and it appears all to be money related I would sell it and stop the over thinking.
If you can afford it, the K20C1 is a rock solid motor and built better then almost...
I actually wait until 2500 to 5000 miles before a tune. I do my mods one at a time since it helps trouble shoot if there is an issue, much easier to check 1 mod versus several after an install. I also do all my modifications myself as I have trust issues lol..........
Hybrids are pretty heavy. I am thinking that is why they made R+ mode so hardcore in the FL5. Going to be hard to make a car feel this toss able when weighing close @ 3700 - 4000 pounds.
I'm keeping mine and enjoying it daily.
