Yep. Lots of angry people, and I obviously don't care what people think. Apparently you have to own a car for a long long time to get to know it, and then once you sell it, you are no longer authorized to speak on it. Sorry guys, it's just a car, try not to assign your personality to it. It's funny that people are getting so bent out of shape over someone's opinion. OMFG you like a CRV?! Your opinion doesn't matter! Lol.

Yep, I said it, CRV is cheaper, more usable to families, more worry free ownership experience, more back seat room, more cargo room, better fuel efficiency, cheaper to insure, quieter, and has AWD so it's not wheel hop central just driving around. For my dollar, I enjoy it a lot more than a front wheel drive super car. That makes it a better car, IN MY OPINION. Don't lose sleep on this guys.

Someone mentioned the reddit thread about the Camry owner. While I don't agree that a Camry is sportier than a Type R like that guy claimed, I kind of understand the point that was made. The FL5 is still an economy car, and gives an economy car experience. I personally think dissenting opinions are important in public discourse, because otherwise it's just a giant circle jerk of hype. FL5 is cool, it's not bad, it's just not this amazing car that everyone acts like it is.
It’s a better daily not a better sporty car that is why you have different cars for different purposes.

If it’s for being sporty it’s one of the best cars out there for the price. I am not a fan boy that is blind, I have owned multiple cars like many others here even higher end ones. I would love for you to discuss this further and for everybody to be respectful in the discussion.

Can you give an example of a better sporty car for the price of under 50K?

Thing is, you do care because you replied to the exact same post twice in a ~24 hour period. People don't do that if they don't care. Hell, people kind of just... don't do that at all lol.

You're entitled to your opinion. And we're entitled to make fun of you for having it.

Let me catch you up.

However, for Type R money, you could have a Porsche 981, 996, 997, 987, any Miata, Fox body with a Coyote swap, lots of M3/M5 options, and lots of other options that would actually be fast fucking cars. Hell, for a few dollars more you could buy a pretty good condition NSX.

lol, I should have been more specific. I meant new cars. Comparing used cars to Brand new cars is pointless.

Guess I missed the Memo, my car is faster than a lot of those cars.?

Bro was praising his CRV's cargo room in the same thread where he recommends a fucking miata. Seriously bipolar. I'm kinda sad he's gone because now we have to talk about engines or something.

Uh…No. The guy on Reddit who bought the Camry after buying an FL5 simply said the Camry is a better car. Define “better” and it’s basically the exact same argument you have for your CR-V. The problem with that Reddit thread is that I don’t think English was OP’s first language, so he didn’t do a good job explaining his opinion. Naturally, the thread went down the toilet pretty fast…just like this one.?

It’s horses for courses. One horse is more versatile around the farm. It’s a great horse. The other horse can do some things the farm horse can do, but also loves spirited runs around the corral and at the horse track.

The problem here is that this is a Civic forum. I’m pretty positive people are well aware of the pros and cons of their cars. It’s pointless to be here explaining your choice of vehicle if it isn’t a Civic or a direct competitor to a Civic. But lemme say this while we’re here making nonsensical comparisons: An Escalade is better than a CR-V. But a CR-V is better…

I'm kinda sad he's gone too but when I read his FS thread about the car a few months ago it seemed like he had some deep-seated issues with driving his hero car.

I'd probably prefer a CRV as well if I never wanted to drive my car because of fear of damaging it.

I'm going to regret this, but I don't like obsessing over it and worrying about it. I got it in October 23 after a 2 year wait on a pre-order, and I just never drive it.

Just under 600 miles on the odometer. I did oil/filter change at 500 miles, with Pennzoil UP 0w-20 and OEM filter, added moly MS02 to make up for the "factory grease" dilute. Blackstone lab report came in today, very close to OEM moly levels. Paint is in immaculate condition. It has never even been on a highway, only North Georgia backroads. Adult driven, no burnouts rev limiter, or silly BS.

No tint, PPF, no auto car washes, etc. I did some Xpel precut PPF on the piano black front and rear door trim to prevent scratches, but that didn't turn out great. Probably needs to be redone to get rid of bubbles. I've never driven the car in the rain, garage kept, never worn blue jeans in it. Really excellent condition.
