I still have the click noise I’m doing a formal complaint with Honda America to get my car fix because even after getting a new steering rack the car was out of alignment and stilling have the noise on what originally thought was part of the recall. The dealer is incompetent and I paid out of pocket to have my car properly aligned so I will cut my losses and deal with everything myself and forget the car even has a warranty. This is gone to be the last Honda I will buy on my life or new car for the matter sadly they don’t care anymore and are just in to drain money and being a parts cannon kind of shop, yes I don’t pay for the work but is no reason for just making stuff up just to charge the warranty and see what fix the car. Sure all of you will have your dealer experience as amazing but in my opinion all of them are incompetent and lie to your face without any remorse. Is impossible in a million years that I got a new part and that same part is also defective and out of the blue I am the one who got it.

The noise is there and easy to replicate, what is the dealer saying? Usually when dealer can’t figure it out they bring in someone else from honda to look at things.

This might not be steering rack related if it was there and they replaced the steering rack. I get it this is frustrating but like I mentioned before take it to a different dealer, have different eyes on it. If you just complain here your problem won’t be solved

Definitely can hear it. How the dealer doesn't hear it is crazy. Sounds like the steering gear is skipping or slipping, but I think you would feel that in the steering wheel. Maybe a ball joint or tie rod or a suspension component. I get your frustration. Dealers are mainly only good at oil changes. Barely good at that. Everything else they do is pretty much trash. Plus, the Type R is a track car and you have basic techs servicing something that really should be serviced by highly skilled techs.

I already went to a different dealer and hour away was told that because they can’t replicate the noise nor work on the car they can’t do anything. I’m not complaining here just let people know so they can be aware if they have similar issues but thank you for your input.

That is the thing the steering rack got apparently replaced and the noise still there, I think is maybe a cv axe because is when I turn while moving. I don’t think that I got the 2nd steering rack defective also to me that’s impossible. But we are on 2025 nothing surprises me anymore!

Take it to a suspension shop and see if they can diagnose it. Then you can take it to the dealer and show them exactly what is wrong. A good suspension shop will be able to find the problem and will point it out to you while its on the lift so you can photo/video the issue for the dealer.

I will see if I can find one because my trust is on the ground right now but the shop that fix my alignment is a really good one I gone to take it there and see what they say.

When I had some noise coming from my coil overs I diagnosed with with some chasis ears. Maybe you can use some of these and see where exactly its coming from. You can get some relatively cheap (under $100).

I would recommend, if you take your car to the dealer again, ask to go with the service tech when they go for the test drive and point the noise out. I had to do that with a previous car that had a rattle, they told me they didn't hear anything so I asked for them to take it out again and for me to ride along.

I had my 2022 SI done over 1 yr ago and it fix the problem after 10 months with problems and countless trip to 4 dealers, but sold the car and jump into a 25 Type R and haven't any problems and the dealer check the vin number and look into the steering and it was done in Japan before shipped to the states. I got my car 1st week in Jan 25. Hope you all get your ride fix soon.
