I just installed the Spoon N1, and i love it. The way it should have sounded factory imo. The OEM plus sound and no drone, looks great, and my wife didn't complain it was too loud. I like the looks of the rolled tips, went back and further over two or three tips. To bad its hidden, looks awesome.

I previously voted for the remark dual tip but after having it on for about a year, I’m over the drone. Putting my stock exhaust back on this weekend. Starting to find that the older I get, the more drone bothers me and this is my daily driver.

Man I guess everyone hears different things but with my Remark SS the drone is hardly noticeable unless you drive with the radio off windows up and listen for it . No way could I ever go back to the soulless stock exhaust I’d sell the car first before that ever happens. I dont think there is an exhaust on the market that doesn’t have a slight drone for the FL5. I think there is more tire noise on the freeway vs drone with the Remark.
The stock exhaust is so quiet you could hear a mouse fart in the back seat 😆🤣

Agree 100% but it’s specifically the range between 2500-3500 when on load or decel, it’s ruining the drive for me. 20 years ago I would’ve wanted it 3x as loud, aging sucks.

I’ve had the dual tip on for a week and feel like it’s gotten louder in that rpm range. Tried the qspec muffler before that, but the drone was worse than the dual tip.

Have the hybrid racing exhaust on the way to give that a shot.

I debated HR vs going back to stock especially since they’re local to me, but figured I have the stock setup in my shed might as well just take the free route. Once I get this car paid off next year, I may think about trying out the HR. I’ve heard it in person and it’s super quiet with the valves closed.

I understand Brother you have to get what makes you happy. Everybody’s needs are different fortunately there is so many options out there. Also you have a great platform the FL5 so I truly hope you can find what makes you happy and I’m sure you will.

The best way to get rid of drone is to get an exhaust that still retains 2 resonators which is mostly the JDM offerings or ones that have large dual canisters like Magnaflow.

So the HR is worse than the remark dual tip in that 2.5k - 3k rpm range, going to give it a little more time to see if it breaks in a bit, but may be switching back to the remark or just go back to the oem.

That’s disappointing. I went back to stock with the valve mod over the weekend and I’ve been enjoying the car more these last few days. It seems like every exhaust option for these cars has at least some form of drone and my ears are obviously past dealing with that.

I'm pretty shocked to hear that because the Hybrid Racing system is super chill in my car. May I ask which downpipe you are using it with?
