Installed the Homelink Auto/Dim Mirror from the Accord. Excellent upgrade, install wasn't too bad at all. This video was spot on with the installation.

V'nice! I think bumper off might have been the way to go? I think that's a bit deeper than I realized, be careful on dips.

2. JDM Rear Seats - I'm very pleased with how these turned out. The rear seats now match the suede-like material used for the front seats. OEM product = OEM fitment. @urbo73 Thanks for cross-checking my list and recommending I add the hardware. While I didn't need to use it, I'm glad I had it.

These OEM covers look great - they look like they're actually part of the seat.

For the seatbacks, as seen from the rear view in your last pic, is that "fuzzy" section also part of the cover? If so, I assume the seatbacks need to be fully removed for complete access to wrap the cover over them, right? Just curious, since the Hyper Suede ones seem to stop at the top, and he managed to slip the seatback covers on without removing the whole back assembly as shown in the YT video screenshot below. But the tradeoff is that the HS ones don't look as OEM.

And lastly, what is the "hardware" that you're referring to? Thanks!

They are in fact part of the seat. That's the point of it being OEM and one of the many reasons I decided to go in this direction over an aftermarket solution. The upholstery shop that did the work asked five times if they were OEM. I showed them the covers still in the plastic with the Honda part number decals on them. The guy just smiled, nodded, and never asked again. To be clear, these seat covers are not to be fitted over the seat covers that come on the car. It's a full replacement. Current seat covers are removed, new seat covers replace them. The "fuzzy" section you're referring to is part of the seat cover. It's the backside of the cover - back meaning the side that faces you when you open the hatch. Not sure if you have your FL5 yet, but if you fold down the rear seats and examine them closely it will be clear what I'm referring to/how they're constructed. Not the best photos of them pre-install, but here they are in the plastic (not all pictured).

As pictured in my initial post, the entire rear benchseat (bottom cushion and seatback) needs to be removed from the vehicle to facilitate removal of the current seat covers and installation of the new seat covers.

See the photo below. The hardware is as follows in the required QTY listed:

04810-SB3-000
90667-S0D-003E7
82138-T2A-003
90123-TR0-003

As noted previously, the hardware was not used, YMMV.

Thanks for the thorough reply, was helpful. I actually have the FK8 and unfortunately, there does not appear to be an OEM accessory option for this. Trying to see what other third party options like Sweidit can come up with, and hoping it will be close to what this FL5 option looks like.

Oh wow, didn't realize that the FL5 stock rear seat had a cover on it from the factory. Not sure how the FL5 stock seat looks like, but the FK8 fabric is a bargain basement cheap scratchy material and it looks like it's part of the seat (not a cover), but will look at it closer next time. Or maybe only the FL5 came with a cover and the FK8 didn't.

Yea it's good that that "fuzzy" section is part of the new seat cover, as it would look pretty tacky if the cover ended near the top, like the screenshot I posted of the HS cover lol.

Are the hardware parts simply the "replacements" of the same existing parts that were used to hold the original cover in place (e.g. they are meant for single one-time use only)? I assume your installers were careful, so they were able to just re-use the originals? If the FK8 doesn't have a cover from the factory, then perhaps I don't need these to help secure the new covers on mine.

As far as I could tell, there are seat covers on the FK8 as well. The OEM parts structure diagram for the FL5 and FK8 are nearly identical. A number of the rear seat related hardware bits carried over from the FK8 as the part numbers are a 1:1. Yes, the hardware parts are simply the replacements of the same existing parts that were used to hold the original cover in place. They are not net new parts. As far as I can tell, the parts were either reused, they supplied their own fasteners, or decided they were not necessary. I only purchased the hardware because, 1) it was suggested by another forum member; and 2) they were relatively inexpensive, so why not? I didn't want to not have them if they were absolutely necessary. Be advised, one part (90123-TR0-003) is simply a bolt that holds the seat to the chassis of the car. That's an item you absolutely would not need to purchase. If you swapped out headlights or tail lights, would you replace a bolt or screw that holds it in place? You would not.

Thanks! This was very helpful, you're right, will go ahead and have those parts on hand just in case. Yes, will definitely take a closer look at my rear seat next time. In the HS rear seat cover install video at 2:52, if there was a cover on the stock FK8 seat, it looks like he just fitted the HS cover on top of that, as I didn't see him remove anything.

That is correct. All of the aftermarket seat cover options I'm aware of simply slide over the existing seat covers.

Thanks for confirming - yea weird, not sure why they wouldn't just strip the existing cover as I imagine it would fit better without any cover. Anyway, regardless I'm impressed that the FK8 rear seat does have a removable cover in stock form - I would have never noticed just casually looking at it lol.

@Clark_Kent - oem rear seat covers look great, well done for doing this.
What are the part numbers of the seat covers? The pictures you posted indicate only 1 cover , not sure if that includes the rear back and seat. Thank you

I thought I posted it earlier, but I must be mistaken with some other parts. Lots of part numbers flying around. Anyhow, all items in the below graphic – with the exception of 3, 5 ,6, and 9 – in the quantities listed.
