What did you do to your FL5 today?

I ordered the carbon pack (wing, centre console and sill protectors) in the UK. I haven't heard anything about delays and they took my money, so fingers crossed the 3/4wks delivery estimate holds out..!

So the 3/4 week delivery estimate didn't quite hold out, I'm now looking at delivery mid-October due to the production delays...

Spoon Progressive Lowering Springs (265/35/18)

I chose this route because I wanted to lower the vehicle and because Spoon claims to improve the ride quality and eliminate the delayed roll I feel when driving spiritedly. I'm glad to say I feel like both have been improved upon. I did not feel the event of the delayed roll. I also feel like the ride has improved. That said I think that is more noticeable in sport or R damping.

I wish it made sense to install each individually, as I would love to see what impact it would have alone (With the understanding that everything works together). Sadly I could not do that, and I don't feel qualified to mention any changes and attribute them specifically to the collar. It would've been nice to know for future reference.

I was never unhappy with the Civic other than the delayed roll... This has improved the car, and I would spend that money again. I know that much, even in a short time.

I'm waiting on the Acura damper module...

Looks fantastic! Lowering this car has such a dramatic impact on how good it looks IMO.

I have the collars in hand next week, looking forward to installing those. I also want to do springs down the line and will likely go with Spoon.

I'd like to say I was 100% successful with the rear a/c install but I couldn't get it to close back up all the way, good enough that I'll deal with it later but it's not right. I've emailed mikstore to see if they have any tips on what I need to do to get it to close flush.

I also generated a nifty error code which is preventing my key from proximity starting the car after I closed up the center console and plugged everything back in:

That really sucks … I did my A/C conversion about 5 months ago and never had to trim anything but then again I didn’t order through Mikstore do you have a link to the instructions they give you? And is the part the use 100% OEM? Now as far as the error code you are getting… did you disconnect the battery before doing the install ?

I *assume* the stuff is OEM. Where did you get yours from? If I have to buy a new rear panel I can deal with that.

Disconnect the battery first? No sir, so I'm sure I'm to blame here but I didn't see any blown fuses or anything.

I’m thinking you might have forgot to fully connect a sensor in the center console .. something to try out and just double check your connections… might be a small miss or a connector not fully seated…

Yep, it's a sensor - it's too hot for me to face fixing it today... and I'd love to know the part # too @JDM_DOHC_SiR in case I can't get the fit perfect.

Sure.. Here is what I used for part#'s

83406-TVA-A01ZA : Rear A/C Vent x1
83453-T24-T01 : Rear A/C Duct x1
83460-T43-J00 : Front Lower A/C Duct x1
83465-T43-J00 : Rear Lower A/C Duct x1
91550-SFJ-W01ZE : Clips x3

Those are the main parts but the hard part for me was finding the lower HVAC duct that connects to the lower A/C Ducts, what I had to do there was purchase a broken used HVAC unit from a JDM FL1 on Yahoo.co.jp Auctions since I didn't want to pay 500$ for a new HVAC unit.

Installed the AWE Touring exhaust. Such a massive difference and no longer sounding like a vacuum cleaner.

I'll be installing the RV6 downpipe in a couple weeks. Hopefully it doesn't get too obnoxiously loud.

Thanks a million! Looks like I could just buy the panel for like $15 and swap the stuff over from the current one if I can't get it to be flush.

Fixed the key issue, there was a plug that goes to the right side of the center console I had missed. Took me a bit to figure out where it plugged into once I found the hiding plug.

I'm going to return the Tuxmats I put in the driver's side a few days ago.

The carpet under the pedal box isn't secured down (thanks Honda) so the Tuxmats have just enough thickness to squeak against the clutch pedal and give it a micro "stick" if you fully depress, if the carpet was actually stuck to the bulkhead I think this wouldn't happen. The thickness of it also means my average size shoe rubs up against the dead pedal area sometimes. The real reason though? To clean it means removing tons of clips, etc which is a pain vs the OEM all weather that I can flip out and clean in under 10s. I guess I'll either need to design another protector for the carpet like I did for the dead pedal or just vacuum more often.

How was the install? Did you do it yourself? Did you have access to a lift, or just use jacks/jack stands or ramps?

I have mine on order. Unfortunately I didn't order soon enough to get one of the limited in stock exhausts so I have to wait.

Me and a buddy (mostly him) installed it with just a jack and jack stands. It wasn't too bad, save for the 90+ degree weather. Took a couple hours. Some of the nuts were hard to get off but he had an air compressor and an impact gun so it wasn't bad. The exhaust comes with instructions so it's pretty simple.

I couldn't find torque specs on many of the bolts (front pipe, etc.) so that was kind of annoying.
