Where did you get the matte carbon door and shifter trim and do they match exactly? Looks good!

Picked up a hitchhiker I guess.
watch out, rodent chew on electrical wiring insulation and can cause a lot of damage.

note that Honda (and most other) manufacturers switched to soy based insulation, but it is not true that rodents prefer the soy based insulation, they will chew through any insulation...

I have found rodent dropping in the car we parked outside, and added peppermint oil as a deterrent.

Honda makes a anti-rodent tape:

Thank you , I got them from a company called create carbon . The shifter trim I bought on eBay and the door pieces I got from taketwoau. I believe both can be bought from taketwoau though , they sell the createcarbon pieces. Exact match for both , very happy with them. Now I want the matte carbon trim for the dash also but it’s pricey .

Finally got around to finalizing the clutch and brakes for the current set up.

I was blown away that I could not find a single shop to turn the rotors. O'reiley's was the only one around that would turn rotors and they said the front rotors were too big for their machine.

I had to pad slap the car but the rotors were in good shape anyways. I just did a good bedding process to help.

-Akebono brake pads front and rear- Hoping to keep the dust down
-Spoon braided brake lines
-Spoon braided clutch line
-Sirimoto Dampner delete
-New Honda clutch slave with the clutch delay valve deleted.
-Hybrid Racing shifter detent springs
-Castrol SRF brake fluid

I plan on putting a trap under the hood when I park, if he’s still in there. So far he was only snacking on the battery cover (who could resist?!). My main fear is mice getting into the HVAC system/ interior. That smell is horrible and basically permanent. My secondary concern is wire nibbling.

How is the clutch feel with the slave cdv delete and damper delete? Big difference and how would you describe change versus stock? I’ve been wanting to do these as well!

As simple as it sounds, no more delay or having to feel like I'm somewhat riding the clutch out of first. Much more feeling on what the clutch is actually doing and when its engaging. Slight increase in vibration through the clutch pedal but nothing bad, maybe a 10% increase in vibration felt. I also have the Hybrid Racing shifter and shifter bushings, so I am pretty far from the stock shifter setup. PFA below.

The car feels like a bolt action rifle now, no question when I'm in gear and it requires more forces on the side to side and forward and backwards. I want to say Hybrid says a 10-20% increase in required pressure.

Overall I definitely recommend the CDV delete and dampner delete if you want a more engaging driving experience with minimal if any increase in NVH.

I think I need to go for this as well. Not liking the factory clutch feel at all in my 25 FL5 right now. Been some time since we owned our 23, can’t remember if that car also felt the same.

Thanks for the feedback! I’m definitely planning on doing this. It’s the one thing on this car that I can’t get over. How vague and long it takes for the clutch engagement. I have the acuity shifter in the box waiting to be installed as well. So I will plan to do all of these soon! Good to know this car can get even better as it’s already great!

Just got and installed the carpeted OEM floor mats. I really like the fit and finish of these. It'd be really nice if Honda had made all weather mats with the same shape and design.

G'day all,

Newbie here from Oz.

Had my FL5 just over 2 yrs now

Over the time have added some "JDM/OEM" upgrades.

Did the MUGEN gear knob and a knock off centre console carbon fibre (it's made of "ABS" and it's seriously solid" . I paid $87 in total for both 😂 😂 😂 thanks Ebay.

Did the red cap mirrors and I can honestly say the car gets a lot more looks, no doubt for and against it.

Also put red weave carbon fibre door trims from TAKETWO here in Australia and the fit and look for $288 delivered *they had a 20% off sale* is absolutely perfect. No gaps no overlap and dimensions are 100% exact.

Last touch was the knobs from the "black package"....$58 delivered from Blackhawk.
Had to wait 6 weeks but I think it looks wicked.

Ordered PIAA 300/400Hz super bass horns to replace the poxy JDM tinny ones.

The last 2 things I am after are the MUGEN FR10 wheels and carbon with red weave rear wing from TAKE TWO which looks super close to OEM and great price.

Again, I am more of a fan of the factory look then after market one

Anyways enough of my rant

*ENJOY YOUR RIDE*

Cheers 🤜🤛

Been procrastinating but just finally switched back to the stock Type R Module from the Type S. Haven’t run it with my Spoon Sport springs. Will report back after some seat time 👍
I was happy before but figured since the Springs were designed around the stock Type R Module I’d check it out.
