Time for new tires

hey guys, I have a '22 FL2 with ~76k miles on the original Goodyear tires. its time to replace them and I'm normally a coopers person but a buddy of mine with a gen x "21 put some yokahama's on his and his road noise went down substaniually. while these Goodyear's have lasted a great while, the road noise is out of this world. does anyone have any recommendations or had any luck with quieting the road noise with new tires?

Interesting, I'm in Canada, but my '24 came with Michellin PS4S.

That's because you have a Type R and they come standard with the PS4S.

Continental DW06+ are usually my go to tire and are what I switched to when I had a Sport Touring, they were much better than the stock tires that came from factory.

This or Michelin PSAS4 are the chalky answers. Searching for deals on Tire Rack is fun, though. After rebates, the DW06+ is $600 for a set of four on Tire Rack right now. Hard to beat that for a quality tire.

Road noise is difficult to reduce. Civics are not very well soundproofed.

I already replaced the original tires, which were not Goodyear, on a 2018 Civic with Michelin Defender tires, which are known for being quiet. I didn't really notice a difference that was worth the cost of the change.

The best advice is to buy the same tires as your friend.

just got new wheels and switching to the dws06+, my ps4's actually started cracking just below the top edges of the tires on all 4. Car just hit 10k miles about a month ago, spoke to my local dealer and they said they cant do anything about it. I've heard great reviews on the dws06+ so hope they last longer then the ps4's do.

Oops, missed that!

The Conti's are a good choice, as is the AS4. If you don't need all-seasons and don't need the performance of the super 200s, the ECS02s is another good choice.

Got the dws06+ on my new ml10-rt. Love them so far car looks so good now to.

Recommend the DWS06+. The only thing I did not like about them is that it did not last long, only got about 35k miles on them before swapping new tires. Right now I am on Bridgestone Turanza Prestige.

I echo the thoughts of swapping over to the Continental DWS06+. I did that swap when I had my 10th gen and, not only did the performance improved, but there was a slight improvement in tire noise.
