In this video my buddies and I try to best the Car and Driver Magazine Grand Course lap time, test the 4 Piston Oil Pan Baffle, see a new driver ascend, and pick on our buddy Anthony!

Too bad the track conditions were so wet to start the day. I didn’t catch it in the video but I’m guessing the baffle solved the pressure drops on the long right handers. I hope you post a video of the baffle install, I’m curious to see all the steps required to drop the oil pan.

The baffle portion is about midway through the video. I did actually start to film the baffle install, but it would have ultimately added HOURS to the install. It’s not an easy installation, but it can be done with the subframe and large outer splash shield in place.

Wow, that's the first I'm hearing you can do it without removing the subframe! That gives me some hope to tackle this sooner than later if I can avoid dropping the subframe. Thanks for the info.

I wouldn’t attempt this on the ground, only on a lift. You need to be able to rock the engine in order to get the job done.

Did you end up changing engine oil viscosity as well. If so what are you running now?
