Thanks! I copied your camera mount idea, but it inevitably flew off after T1 on my next session lol
Oops! I didn't have that issue, but I did add that zip-tie around the headrest (that I admittedly failed to highlight lol but you can see it in the picture). Hopefully this was the fast lap though!

well guys looks like Pittsburgh international race complex is no longer after this year
Sad indeed. I thought Mid-Ohio was closer to Pitt, but it's 150 miles. Summit Point or WGI next closest I guess

Yep, pretty unfortunate and somewhat ridiculous given how much money has been put into the facility. While I live in Nashville now, I first ran events there in ~2012-2013, and it was a pretty nice track then for what it is - since then it transitioned into a truly world-class club track facility.

I understand from locals that the rumor is it will become a data center (unconfirmed) - given the amount of energy required to run a data center I don't see why this particular hill is any better than any other rural hill in the middle-of-nowhere western PA, as there's no way PittRace has the infrastructure to support those power demands now, and there's empty industrial complexes all over the Midwest, but I guess someone saw some value somehow (and the numbers I've heard passed around for the transaction price are massive, up to 9 figures, although I think that's all unconfirmed).

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do the japanese race teams race the FL5 without overheating? These guys are clearly doing multiple laps. I assume they've added cooling mods. Has anyone seen what kind of mods they've got?

If you’re referring to the Super Taikyu FL5’s, all of them are running spec engines with stock intercoolers, and a straight exhaust with a catalytic converter. For cooling all of them have upgraded radiators and some decide to run oil coolers. (Eg. Spoon did not run an oil cooler on there first season, but now they do.) Finally, most of them are using aftermarket front bumpers, and hoods with larger vents.

Since Pittrace is closing end of year I’m trying to get in one more trackday. Hookedondriving.com apparently has the honor of the last (car) track day at Pittrace. Question: Has anyone driven with them? How was the experience? There site has little to no information on the amount of sessions (maybe 4/5) and no information on how long the sessions are. At $778 for the weekend I would like as much track time as possible. I emailed the organizers and they said they “are working on the schedule.” Any insight is appreciated.

Ran a PB at in CCW Harris Hill in the heat. Very excited to see my times closer to the winter here in Texas.

Note: I'm strongly looking at Jason's WOT triple pass radiator and oil coolers now lol these computer-generated temps are nuts
