lol thanks.....That was the plan! As centered as possible. Anything else could have been really bad. It was 6pm traffic.

Does caltrans pay for the damage?

By law, yes, as they’re responsible for maintaining the fwy. As a precaution, I've already filed with my ins. co. on Mon. and w/ CHP today. I’ll be off again for 2 days next week, by which time I should have the damage estimate and be ready to file w/ CT.

My boys at Metro Acura are preparing the estimate, should be ready tomorrow or thurs..

Damage wasn't too bad at all:

- dowpipe has some dented flanges before and after the flex
- exhaust, both resonators took a hit.
- the heatshielding in the exh. tunnel took some damage as well.
- the under tray
- and of course the front lip.

Damn man, that hurts to see damage already Although, underside repairable damage is easier to stomach.

Or, maybe its the powers above saying its time to keep that damaged exhaust and do a resonator delete... Once I find a spare exhaust I may do the delete. Can't bring myself to cut one without a replacement

It does. I had spoken to someone and they said you should make them buy you a new car lol. But, as you said, because it's moderate undercarriage damage, it is easier to stomach.

Research is the beginning of all procrastination. ? I was thinking the same thing right before the impact damage. As of the damage, I’m leaning toward grabbing an ITS system. The car will benefit from the larger piping w/out going aftermarket. The ITS exh. also only uses one resonator instead of two.

Verbal Update:
Regarding the damage claim, I still need one more repair estimate before I can file with the city. I’ve already got one from an independent shop, and the second will come from an authorized repair facility through my insurance. Once that’s done, I’ll move forward.

Modified News:
I ordered my end goal wheels back in Feb., but I’m still not sure what the holdup is. My liaison said he’d have an update soon ??‍. Around the same time, I came across an old photo of my civic sedan and decided to refine that inspiration and try something different on the FL5. Just under a week ago, a part of that vision was finally completed - the perfect opportunity to try this TPMS kit that was hiding in the downstairs closet.

did something unconventional....bought a set of stock suspension w/ 2500 miles on them, and installed the Spoon springs. In the long run it just makes sense to me. I can now swap back to stock suspension in my driveway w/out the need of a spring compressor.

TBH,, I decided to hold off for now. The collision facility took nearly two weeks just to process the estimate, but I finally received it. In the meantime, I had my detailer take a look to see what he could do. He was able to remove most of it, but some of it still remains.

Last Tuesday, I was finally able to submit all the required claim documents to the city. I’ll circle back to the seat once that’s squared away.

My insurance company said that if the collision shop refuses to cover the damages, I’d need to open a separate claim and pay another deductible. The problem with that......it basically means I’d be accepting fault for all the damages, which I’m trying to avoid. I’m not taking an L and dealing with premium hikes - that’s not proper indemnification.

Squeezing so much in a day, today's my last "business" day off before the Hondata Jailbreak Tour/holiday weekend. Also have a daddy daughter date to attend. ? The shift we work doesn't allow for much free time during the holiday weeks. With that said, I tried to knock out as much as I could.... Headlight tint along w/ some other details done; then drove to get the resonators deleted. Ended up deleting the long, second one, as it was dented the worst of the two. In hidnsight, Wish I had hacked both off.... its still quiet to me.
