I think the transmission growl is just the nature of the beast. Probably due to the lighter weight, single mass flywheel. My transmission has always been noisy at idle.

Interesting. I’ll listen to it more at idle. I was getting the noise mostly at city speeds in 2nd, 3rd, & 4th. Highway, 5th & 6th. Once I push the clutch in, those noises do go away.

Hahaha .... well, If they wish to give me another R, I will gladly accept it. Love this car. If not. I'll jump platforms and sell off the mods. The M3 comp is the next best candidate, the Porsche is a 2 seater sounds fun, looks aggressive too. Sadly, I love rollin with my kids so that can't happen RN. The sad part is, cat out the bag, spoon goods are "coming," and I'd really like to stay in an R.
