Is remote start OK?

Unfortunately I broke my kneecap and will be in a brace for weeks. I can’t drive my 2022 Civic. Is it harmful to remote start it every couple of days and then let it stop on its own just to keep its juices flowing so to speak?

That’ll help get oil back in the head but I don’t think it’ll put enough of a charge back in the battery. Hope U get better quick tho

No, the car won't get to full operating temperature just by remote starting. Heat cycling is the number one cause of engine wear. Not only because of cycles of expansion/contraction wear but not letting the engine get hot enough for long enough to evaporate all the water leads to absorbing more water (condensation) causing oxidation. You are better off just letting it sit. Maybe have someone you know take it for a run after 3weeks, if you are concerned.

Your initial plan is the worst thing you could do.

1: Get a battery trickle charger (Ctek small one is a good choice) if you think you'll need it; which you probably won't as you're only talking about a few weeks ?
2: Leave the car alone till you're ready to drive it.
3: Drive it.

I often take plane for a trip and leave my car for 2 weeks . No issue to start.
