  1. Is remote start OK?

Unfortunately I broke my kneecap and will be in a brace for weeks. I can’t drive my 2022 Civic. Is it harmful to remote start it every couple of days and then let it stop on its own just to keep its juices flowing so to speak?
  2. Question about CRC Intake Valve & Turbo Cleaner

I’m not a “car guy”. Where would the vacuum line you suggested be located?
  3. Question about carbon build up

Interesting. I saw someplace that the injectors in the newer civics are positioned in such a way that some of the gas gets on the valve and helps keep it clean. I wish I could find that info again. I wonder if there is any truth to this. I want to keep my car in good shape but I'm not looking...
  4. Question about carbon build up

Is anyone aware of anybody running the 1.5T engine for 150,000-200,00 miles or more without ever having a performance issue due to carbon build up? I mean without any chemical or media blasting ever being done.
  5. Question about CRC Intake Valve & Turbo Cleaner

I haven't yet done this cleaning and I was wondering if it would be OK to remove the Mass Airflow Sensor and introduce the cleaner in the hole that's left. Will the car continue to run if I do that and is this a good idea. I know you're not supposed to get the cleaner on the MAF but since it's...
  6. Nuts in my air box !!!

I’m considering getting some of that Honda branded rodent tape to wrap my engine wires before they start to snack on them. The damn stuff is EXPENSIVE! About $50 a roll! my problem is a hickory tree in my front yard. Every year it drops thousands of nuts (I called them acorns but more correctly...

been there, done that. I’ve put 40 drops of peppermint oils in a bottle of water and sprayed everything. Engine bay, wheel wells, trunk you name it. I gegen put it full strength on my cabin air filter. They keep coming back. But my car smells like chewing gum.

  14. Nuts in my air box !!!

My original question was - where is the first entry point for the air before it gets to the air filter box. In the attached picture am I correct that this is what I'm looking for?. If so I want to try putting a piece of chicken wire to cover this. Am I correct and if so do you think it would...
  15. Nuts in my air box !!!

I did put traps out one night but caught nothing. I suppose I could try again. I am aware that they can cause a lot of electrical damage. The hickory tree - where most of the nuts are coming from - is going to be removed this spring. Hopefully that will solve the problem. In the meanwhile, I was...
  16. Nuts in my air box !!!

I wouldn’t say it sits for long periods of time, but it may sit for a couple of days in a row. I drive it more days in the week than I don’t. I have a hickory tree in my front yard. That’s where the nuts are coming from. That tree is coming down this spring. However the Dr isn’t parked under it...
  17. Nuts in my air box !!!

Went to change my engine air filter on my 2022 Civic today and the air box was FULL OF ACORNS!! I have been battling these nasty critters getting into my blower motor and my cabin air filter but now they've gone too far. After I removed the acorns - at least 50 of them - my mpgs went way up...

Yea. I’m looking for a solution to this problem. Tried everything. Even soaking the filter and engine with peppermint oil. They keep coming back. I don’t have a garage ?. Just about broke my back once removing the blower motor.
