Does the PRL inlet make any difference in sounds? Or is it purely eye candy lol

The Eventuri turbo inlet pipe also works with the stock air box. Here is a link with PICs. I decided to go with it because it is a one piece unit, has the largest internal ID, and allows for the use of other aftermarket intakes.

IMHO, the OEM inlet pipe is an aesthetically eye pleasing 5+ pound heat sink.

Infinity Design also sells a one piece turbo inlet and intake kit that looks good. Here is a link to that thread.

FYI, I just got the Cobb Redline Carbon Fiber Intake from @JST Performance

I asked them about turbo inlet recommendation. their response was:
I would just use the stock inlet personally. Which is what i do on my car. The stock FL5 inlet is great.
but prior to the above, I was attempting to research and decide between the Eventury and Infinity Design

I was leaning toward the Infinity Design.

for now, I decided to skip the turbo inlet and just go with Cobb AP/Jailbreak/Tune and the Cobb intake

That's sound advice. Skip it.

Commenting to confirm fitment with the PRL carbon inlet. This inlet was bought brand new from TSP and came with the hoses for the HVI. So the newer inlets that are only compatible with the HVI work with the OEM air box and accordion hose.

Adding that you can use the tube from the stage 1 intake as well. I prefer this setup as it looks cleaner and you don't have to "stretch" the accordion hose as much. It's a bit finicky to get all the hoses right, but fits nicely once you do. Not rubbing or gaps. The turbo noises are a bit louder compared to OEM, so that's a nice bonus!

I've owned oiled filters on my prior cars and I don't want to do the cleaning and maintenance for those. I'm happy with my aFe dry drop-in filter, but I would like to get a nice inlet pipe for the aesthetics.
How is the AFE dry drop in? I've had my eye on it for a bit. Does it have a decent amount of surface area compared to the OEM? I know k&n's are a lot thinner and have less pleats meaning less surface area than the OEM paper filter. Curious how the AFE is.

Also, is there any added turbo noise with just the AFE dry drop in?

was wondering the same thing and if theres a part number? All I can find is the one you have to oil.
