I received mine today. Initial impressions are IMPRESSIVE. The intercooler appears to be built well. It was packaged impeccable. Cardboard box overlay wrapped in waterproof packing tape all around. Under that, I was surprised to see a freaking crate guys, a crate! Upon getting out the pliers and screwdriver, was the intercooler neatly tucked in the middle with inches of air gap all around. The intercooler was sitting in expandable foam on corners and in between.

The tubes appear to be thick. Honestly, if anything large enough hits these to damage them. It would do damage to any intercooler in my opinion. Of course no testing yet. But just looking at it, air can easily pass through this unit to make its way into the cooling stack with no problem, so that at least does not appear to be a issue. But anyway that is my layman initial impressions.

are there any feedback regarding whether this intercooler will impede airflow to the radiator like the bar and plate design does ?

Mine is coming for testing, but the idea is that it enhances air flow with the very open design of the microtube structure.

Is there any mounting hardware included, or is this plug and play using the OEM pieces.
This looks (in appearance) to my bad eyes like a very impressive IC with only a ten pound weight gain. Excited to read about installs/experiences.

Looks nice, but narrower passages have higher pressure drops unless offset by increased flow area. Not sure how the pressure drop and efficiency compares with OEM, PRL, etc.

Intercoolers tend to be efficient heat transfer wise, so the law of diminishing returns applies.

That being said, I intend to install 1/4 mesh hardware cloth in front of my OEM intercooler to protect the foil fins from additional rock dings. I'll straighten out the dinged ones while I'm at it.

Do we have any testing data comparing this to other ICs?
