I didn't share any additional information as I was asked not to but there have been updates to the tuning files and firmware. Official release time I do not know. I consider the comfort mode ready for full release to the public. This last one was revision 3.

I drove two autocross events where I used the +R mode. There is a good difference between all 3 modes.

Overall, there is a noticeable difference in feel as things appear more progressive versus stock modules. In speaking with DSC, what I was feeling was correct as the factory module has a narrower band for each setting. DSC's is wider with each mode overlapping slightly.

Tarzan, thank you for letting them use your car. I was initially disappointed but am now excited by the product. I think the base maps are now good and any fine tuning should be doable by the end customer.

for the ones that have the module, is there a backing to the case or is the board exposed?

It's the same as the OEM module - it's just the board that fits into the OEM housing which provides protection/mounting. I was confused initially until I saw how the OEM unit mounted.

I have one of the 3d-printed units but I'm assuming the final production ones will be the same.

So is this bogus or does anyone have any footage of how you actually tune this? Are they shipping the full production units, or is it still in pre-production phase. A bit confused, any help is appreciated. Thanks

Not sure about the pre-production vs full production units, but DSC is definitely legit. They have a ton of great videos about how the modules work and guides on tuning. My experience is the baseline calibration was pretty good, but you also have a lot of options for adjusting how the shocks respond to G-loading, braking, acceleration, etc. You just plug in a laptop and make the changes.

As far as the backing plate goes, I was similarly confused, but I reused the stock backing plate/bracket with no issues. The DSC module fits in exactly the same way as OEM.

I was very curious about the DSC controller and saw the last few posts saying that there's did not come with the backing plate/bracket.

When I was on the site, right above "What's Included" has "Bracket NOT included. Mounts to the existing bracket."

Thanks guys the package came without any instructions for install and I thought it was very unusual not to have a plate on the back given all the other DSC controllers I have seen which are complete units. I'll try and get it installed soon and provide some feedback.

I also weighed in on the Integra forums. Must be nice for those of you in warm weather to get out in conditions where you can drive the car aggressively, but my impressions on hard driving are going to have to wait until spring.

But I will chime in to say that I'm local to DSC as well my car was also used in helping to develop the baseline maps. DSC tweaked the comfort mode even further to conditionally improve how the car reacts over bumps at highway speeds. I'm going to screw up how Tom explained it to me, but it is extremely cool how they program these things to increase or decrease damping stiffness in reaction to speed, steering angle, lateral g, etc. etc.

And my experience so far under "normal" driving conditions has been fantastic. Comfort mode is noticeably improved over the OEM DE5 module. It's also worth noting my car is on Eibach springs, and at order time you can select what suspension setup you have to receive an OOTB tune that is optimized for your setup (i.e., stock vs lowered).
