Appreciate the R&D. 2 of 3 does seem to be the winner. If I didn't daily mine and was FBO, I'd do 3 of 3 for sure.

Learn from my mistakes. I cut way too much and now I have mostly bent pipe towards the rear and it won’t seal lol - to the exhaust shop tomorrow.

Is this the front or secondary resonator? I'm looking for a secondary resonator delete kit as I don't feel the front one will give me "enough" growl - don't want to do both. Don't want to do a cut and weld either as I have not been able to find a shop that can do decent welds :-( Thanks.

I did the secondary resonator delete. The big one right in the middle. You have to make sure you order the pipe from Amazing and clamps. Cut with an angle grinder as close to the resonator as possible or you'll have leaks like I did.

Do you have a link to "Amazing and clamps"? Can't seem to find anything on it just doing simple google search. Thanks.

I ordered this: https://a.co/d/4W3kGnH

I think it was a little short but I'm not entirely sure since I cut it wrong.

I also got these wrong: https://a.co/d/hMLwQhy
You need bigger ones since the piece above that I order goes over the exhaust pipe, so you need bigger ones than that. I only know what not to order for these, sorry.

Is there a consensus on the difference between deleting the front/smaller or rear/larger of the 2 mid pipe resonators? Id imagine deleting the larger one would give more of a grumble at low rpms while the front would be more rasp/volume at higher rpms. Can anyone confirm?

I would just delete the mid pipe. As doing the front one as well makes it sound too raspy if you are going to do both just buy an aftermarket exhaust

Idk if "just" spending 10x the money is a comparable option lol. Youre talking about $300 vs $3k. My plan is to delete both and install a vibrant bottle resonator to cut down on the rasp. We'll see how it goes

I haven't seen this posted here yet. I'm curious how this would sound on a type r without the burbles.

The dual delete seems to already introduce some drone. Id imagine this would amplify it quite a bit and make it sound even more raspy. If you want a loud motorsport sound that would do it.

Personally my goal is a deeper sound with less rasp which is why I'm going with another resonator over straight piping the whole way. It might be a little quieter at high rpms compared to the dual delete but it should filter out some of the tinny sound i've been hearing in clips and possibly some drone

Front delete, rear delete or both? I am leaning heavy on mid delete. Because front resonator may not be enough of a bump in sound. At least with front in place it will remove rasp. Tone it nicely? I also believe tips and something in the PCM management gives the ITS the burbles.

I would suggest starting with just the large resonator. I deleted the front resonator on my car and it barely made a difference.

Have you deleted the rear yet?

I just had the front res deleted today and it's noticeable but yeah it's no v8 lol. I plan on having the rear one replaced with a much smaller resonator soon. The rear resonator is a lot bigger and targets the low frequencies that tend to produce drone so ive been trying to avoid straight piping it

My opinion is to do the rear. Imo doing both wont really alter the tone in a positive way, it gets louder but also more of that I4 rasp people hate. The rear/mid gives you a bit more sound with the stock tone. I think it pairs well woth a nice intake setup

And yeag ITS ECU/PCM was programmed for the burbs. Hondada and a few others offer the ITS burble tune Im pretty sure
