Both my resonators have been removed. I would call the car loud on cold start, and very noticeably louder in day-to-day driving. There is a tone at 100kph/62mph, but I wouldn't call it a drone. That said, I do have the valve fuse removed, so I might try putting that back in and see what difference it makes. With this mod and a Chongdata tune via Hondata Pro module, it's got a lot more mid-range punch and stays strong to redline. Happy so far. Unsure if I will mod further.

Hope it’s helpful! I spent a year going back-and-forth on getting an exhaust or not and this $200 stock mod is fantastic. One huge thing I realized too … I was going to go with the AWE touring - but - having the valve still in place is amazing so I don’t have to listen to louder all the time and can choose. I also recommend painting everything matte black underneath so you don’t have silver guts behind the black tips.

One thing I wish somebody made is 4.5” OD tips with 2.5” inlet only 5 inches long (instead of 7-9” which would stick out huge, it’s cramped down there). Would be cooler to get a little bit bigger OD, but the biggest outer tips I could find short enough with 2.5” inlet was 4” OD tips. Car is dirty but here’s a pic.

Where did you buy those tips? Did it change the note at all of the exhaust since the oem has resonators in the tips? I want to do this

Had mine done this week at a local shop. Dual delete and bought the polished versions of the tips from Amazon. Happy with how it turned out. Comfort mode its just a little louder overall and when switching to Sport or R+ it is noticeably louder even in the lower rev ranges. Haven't done to much highway yet but I'll probably keep it in comfort during those cases.

Couple of notes on the exhaust tips that the shop talked me through. Since the middle muffler is longer then the sides, to get all 3 to match up evenly they had to extend out the tips just a bit with couplers, probably about an inch. They don't stick out past the bumper so no risk of accidentally touching if you are near the trunk but you can tell they are a little further out.

This is a good holdover for me before I'm ready to go full cat back. In the meantime I can put that money into a higher end intake which from what I've seen gives a better performance boost then an exhaust anyway.

Appreciate this write up and link! $66 isn’t bad for better looks and more sound

I got those tips from Amazon and it changed the note - more bass and a bit of grumble… which after a few months of it settling in has actually become annoying to me when in anything but comfort and especially when the valve opens at rpm it’s a bit raspy. I have a different set of tips arriving Tuesday that might actually be the right length (not too long to stick out too much) and still 2.5” ID but a 4.5” OD instead of the 4” that the ones I have on now are. I’ll post some pics and video after I get them swapped - these new tips are a new design from China and I hope they’ll finally tick the box of having three bigger tips and a great sound. So basically if you can hold off for a week or so I’ll have another option to ponder. Cheers!

+1 for the dual resonator delete. Best $200 I've spent so far.

Same. I spent $100. And it's $50 to put back on if you're wondering.

I just did the dual resonator delete (left the rear muffler alone completely and left the stock front pipe and down pipe alone too). SO much better, this way! Drone-free and quiet in comfort, rowdy with great drama and burbles on overrun!

FINALLY... THREE 4.5" OD EXHAUST TIP VICTORY!!!

After searching forever for tips that would work (you can read previous threads) I took a gamble and finally found the winner for me - some new tips that just came out from China that are 2.5" ID, 4.5" OD and 6" long total (all other 4.5" OD tips are like 7-8" long and would stick out way too much). Here's the ebay link (it was super fast shipping, actually really impressive) and my local shop replaced the old black 4" OD aftermarket tips I tried last with these and he did a great job getting them tucked under the car enough so they don't stick out as much as others. These come in black as well, I decided to go back to chrome and I taped off and spraypainted the very inside of the tips black to cover up all the inner welding, etc. since outer pipes need a 2" to 2.5" stepup, etc. I also feel like when driving - these 4.5" are a little more full with less "rasp" than the 4" ones when the valve opens up.
