My Massachusetts car was delayed like almost a month, I and my salesman both think it was related to Trump lowering the Japan tariff. The car magically showed up a week or so after he did that. So maybe the East Coast is getting flooded with cars held back to get the lower tariff?
Interesting, my 2025 CTR has been allocated since 7/15, and as of yesterday, it was on a rail car in Nashville TN. Expected delivery to my dealer 9/3-9/7, so I'm looking at taking delivery in two Saturdays from now. The wait is killing me.

Was in the market last week for a type R and the vast majority of dealers around me were still stuck at 5k over. Ended up finding one somewhat near me for msrp plus 900 for some random accessories. They were originally at 5 over but got it down as I said I would pick it up in a couple days. Overall I thought it was a very fair deal. So for those that are looking just keep reaching out to dealers some are liking to deal.

Is there a color that sells slower, thus dealers are flexible with pricing?
boost blue in my experience. I had two dealers offer me BB for MSRP... saying they can't do CW at MSRP because it's a rare color... (lies)
CW is the most produced color & BB is 2nd most produced color
followed by SGP.
Black and Red are by far the most rare FL5 colors (based on production numbers)

Appreciate everyone's tips and recommendations and telling me to keep at it. I'll be picking up my 2025 Championship White Type R this weekend... the deal was made by text and phone calls without even having to step foot into the dealer.

Downside, the dealer is 3 hours away when I go pick it up. So I guess its worth it for almost paying MSRP.

Good for you and congrats! Glad this worked out for you. Looking forward to your build thread.

And I don't care what anyone says, that going into the dealership nonsense is a losing proposition. It took them wasting my time once 10+ cars ago to figure it out. I'll go to the dealership to pick the car up. I have them prepare all paperwork in advance and I'm out in less than 30 minutes. If I have to "come in to get the best deal" I find a new dealership.

Thanks. Was definitely getting dealer nonsense this last week, but was able to make this a done deal. Sent all my info for the documents and everything, just really gotta sign and pick up the keys.

Congrats!! Love hearing stories like this one where patience and perseverance pay off at the end. 3 hour drive is nothing.

Also agreed the "being at the dealer in person" method is obsolete. It actually puts the buyer at a disadvantage because the buyer is exactly where the dealer wants them to be: at the dealer where the salesperson can run the "check with my manager" carousel on you.

Unless one is a tactical, stone cold negotiator, in-person visit rarely works out for the better.

Congrats! Perseverance pay off! I wouldn't sweat driving 3 hours to get a good deal. I was ready to fly in and drive it home (within a day worth of driving max of course) if I had to.

BTW, where did you end up buying it from and any ADM...if you don't mind me asking?

Out in BFE Visalia... No ADM, but stuck with some accessories; floor mats, wheel locks, door sills, and trunk liner. So paid just a little over msrp at around $48.

Good deal  At least you're getting something for the extra paid over MSRP! Bet you'll have a hard time falling asleep tonight :p Post a picture at your collection day.

$38K?
The ones in dealers around me are listed at about $32.5 K.
Does that included taxes or something?
