2017 was nuts. I remember seeing a few CTRs for the first time at my local cars and coffee, some of these guys (and even kids, like college kids) were taking out 84 month loans to help reduce their monthly obligation after paying 15k+ over MSRP to have one.

I remember looking at a used one in the summer of 2017, at a Toyota dealer, they were asking 6k over MSRP. On the spot, a guy walked up and bought it.

In some ways nothing has changed. Youtube has tons of delivery videos where people pay 5-10k over sticker. Example A:

I remember a salesperson laughing his butt off after telling me a sucker pay over 20K for one back over 6 yrs ago. I gone there to just look it one in person. It was the Old Palm Harbor Honda location.

I'm really confused by Honda's logic here, why continue to ship 2025s at a lower MSRP?

Makes me think that this is the end of production for the FL5. I’m more confused as to why Honda wouldn’t announce this or give the US a final edition of sorts by now.

Not that this means anything, but I find it odd Honda also has been silent regarding a 2026 accord.

Accord is getting a re-design so a delayed 2026 announcement makes sense. Theres no shot theyre doing a Type R re-design just for the US market.

Might Honda kill the Accord? Acura just killed the TLX this summer...

Why not? They're doing the Integra Type S only for the NA market. Stranger things had happened.

Accord aint going no where. The Accord pretty much informs every other vehicle in Honda's line up in some way, shape or form.

They lowered the MSRP? It does look like it on Honda's site when doing a build. Did not see that coming.

It's totally over.

Them lowering the price implies it's over for the FL5, what's your reasoning there? Not disagreeing just curious.

I know nothing about car sales but it seems suspicious to lower the MSRP on this car. Its what, on clearance now? I've only seen MSRP increases forever & always 🤷‍♂️

They didnt lower the MSRP but the presumption would be if it were sold as a 2026 they'd raise the MSRP for the 2026MY. Model year is a pretty arbitrary thing, I just dont see any reason this last batch didn't get "2026" thrown on and Honda raise the MSRP $1000.
