Thanks @AspecR . I believe it is reasonable to assume 2024 will have an increase to MSRP as well.
Yes there will be an increase, idk how much yet though. The MSRP of the 2023 increased by $1000. I expect at least an addition $200-$500.

Very upsetting day as the dealer called me to say they had a customer cancel and I can get my Champ white type r early. I never signed anything but was promised msrp only for them to want $10k over so I had to pass. At $10k over I just feel like I'd rather try my luck eventually getting a type s at msrp. I'm in no rush but my hopes and dreams were just totally shut down today.

Sorry to hear that. That has happened to me on a couple of occasions. Some dealerships won't allow you to sign or even take a deposit. I presume that gives them an out should they need to recalibrate pricing. Are you comfortable with sharing the dealership name? There may be forum members on that waiting list (or may join the list) that may need a heads up of what could happen.

To make it a bit worse and maybe make some feel better on the forum , it's actually a family member of mine that works there and I have purchased at least 5 cars from them but the higher ups wont let it go for anything under. So on that note I kind of don't want to share the dealers name and stir the pot in anyway. I am pretty bummed out though and it sucks what we all have to go through these days.

Understood and fair enough. I wouldn’t give up on this car. If you want it, don’t stop until you get it on your terms. Jumping to another car is settling. Don’t be a settler.

Easier said than done but I will say I'll keep trying although in my area ( NY ) it's not easy and between work and family I don't have the time to go out of state unless it was a easy weekend travel and set in stone. I'd be just as happy with a type s also at msrp if I could get my hands on one but will say I'd rather have the type r and don't really feel the price difference between it and the type r is worth it . Any other vehicle besides though 2 would kind of be settling for me.

Really is unfortunate how bad the dealer experience is these days hopefully you can find what makes you happy. GL
I do not like Tesla, but one thing I am rooting for them on is destroying the dealership model. That is a cancer that is ruining the car buying experience for everyone. Hoping to see the day that all cars are sold and delivered direct to consumer.

I agree; however, I'm not on the I hate Tesla/Elon Musk train. A polarizing company, no question and there are things they get wrong. But there's a lot of goodness there and it starts with the DTC model. It's far and away better than the traditional franchise dealership arrangement. I've purchased two Teslas and the ordering experience has been fantastic. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. I gave them their money, they gave me the key cards, I did a vehicle walkaround to note any issues, and left. No mark ups, lame extended service contracts, overpriced paint sealants and fabric sprays, dodgy "sales tactics", or the protracted in dealership experience.

I am rooting for Tesla for many reasons. One is to destroy all other dealerships. However, one of my friend works for Mercedes as sales and he reached out recently to see if I have any jobs I can connect him with. He sees the writing on the board and thinking ahead.

I just got this email
Hello Noel,
This is Mark from AutoNation Honda Sanford.
I'm emailing because we need your help. Our store really needs nice pre-owned vehicles, especially the Ridgeline like yours! We would like to purchase that vehicle back from you!
Many of our customers take this opportunity to upgrade into a newer vehicle, but we'd be happy to purchase it and write you a check for it!
How quickly could you make it in? Let me know what day & time works and I'll have my Acquisition Team ready to work with you as soon as you arrive.
My reply:
If you remove the markup of the CTR sitting in your showroom I might start listening.

I know that nothing is going to happen.:p
