You tariff doomers are depressing to watch in action. Everything is FINE, EVERYONE IS FINE. Wars have ended, things are fine. Just stop. Honestly, it's suppressing traffic and taking away from good post content on this site to make everything political.
Guess we know which political side you are on lol

I am still willing to bet there will be a 2026 CTR. It doesn't add up that Honda would abruptly discontinue the generation without any notice to the North American market. Good news is that this entire thread can be put to rest probably in the next 30 days or so, hard to imagine Honda going into mid/late-November without any kind of formal announcement one way or another

Suppose a part, say a radiator, is made in the US. That manufacturer likely imported raw materials or even a mostly finished product to the US, and is paying a tariff on it. Now that Honda supplier is losing money on the part. How long until parts prices go up? They may have already increased their cost to Honda. These tariffs are so broad, that prices will go up, there's just a lag as companies decide what to do.
I dont disagree but thats across their entire model line, not unique to Type R. FL5 is basically the one thing still built in Japan and thus is hit above and beyond everything else.

The funniest part is somewhere theres a group of highly paid execs sitting around trying to actually figure out what they want to do, I'm of the thought that they don't even know yet what the plan is for 2026.

tariff isn’t but the word political is lol (last word in your post). Also opinion on tariffs is quite political considering it’s literally one of the political topics of discussion….

Not sure if this has already been discussed, but Honda has yet to file VIN requirement data with the NHTSA for a MY26 Civic Type R.

For the MY25 CTR, it was filed on April 22, 2024 - https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/mid/home/displayfile/99ed1dfd-5b59-446c-b0e3-66e5dcd1d91a

For the MY24 CTR, it was filed on July 20, 2023 - https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/mid/home/displayfile/51b13a22-cf03-40a9-84d5-3cda0375140f

So I would think that if there was going to be a MY26, the VIN data would have already been registered by now.

How did you search for this info? Seems obscure
