Working on getting rid of a couple of rock chips. As much as I like using the factory paint pens, I’m a big fan of the Dr Colorchip kits.

Damn, picking up chips already I see. No interest in ppf?

I’ve had these for awhile since picking up my car and having to drive it a few hours home from the dealer. I mean, $60 paint kit and some time on the weekend vs a couple thousand dollars. I’d rather keep that money and spend it on something else.

Fair. If a poll were posted the results would likely show most opt out of ppf.

I decided against ppf after finding out how inexpensive pre-painted replacement bumper covers can be had from Honda! Even a respray is cheaper than ppf and it's remove/replacement in the future.
I also decided against PPF, not sure if it was a smart decision or not

I have already collected about a dozen dings and scratches, few curb rashes.

Some fairly nasty, which actually means that PPF would have been useless...

I gave up on keeping up with fixing/repairing, and just stopped worrying about them

As special as it is, the FL5 is just a car, and as long as I keep it mechanically perfect, I no longer care how it looks on the outside...

just purchased (and will install in the next few weeks...)

Radium 20-0826-FL Dual Catch Can Kit 2017+ Civic Type-R Fluid Lock

I plan to use Pennzoil Platinum Plus 0W-20 and Fram filters (XG7317 or FE7317) and will change the oil every 5,000 miles (street driving, don't plan on tracking it). currently at 2,800 miles, and will do the first oil/filter change at 3,000 in a few weeks.

Note that the Honda OEM oil filter is made by Fram/Honeywell and is equivalent to the lower end Fram oil filter, which is why I opted for the better/best Fram oil filters.

I don’t know what everyone’s driving habits are here, but I know most other drivers in my area love to tailgate. If someone is going below the speed limit, I might close in if I know there’s an opportunity to pass ahead, but otherwise I try and hang back out of courtesy. I think this has the added benefit of avoiding many paint chips from stones getting kicked up as well. I have no PPF and there’s only 1 chip on my front bumper around the brake air duct after 19k miles.

Around me, everyone thinks they have a racecar when they're near me. I'm too old to be racing 2004 Nissan Altima's lol.

This is exactly my thought, I was quoted $800 on the low end for PPF, I can buy 2 replacement bumpers for that.

I don’t like ppf, I like polishing and waxing my car regularly, when I go to car shows most cars that have had ppf for while look bad to me. I see peeling and can clearly tell the car has worn ppf. I don’t mind a few rock chips here and there from normal driving since my ITS is not my daily driver, nor gets driven in road salt.
