lmfao……. They threw away ADM so easy but 15/20 hp/tq at 1500 is expensive
I don't see how when people are happily spending the same (or more) for a poorly made exhaust system that sounds awful. And you'll get a fraction of the 15-20hp/tq you'll get from an intake. I recall one of these shop cars lost power with the addition of an exhaust.

Some Dudes that paid $5k-$10k markups for their cars that got nothing complaining about a $1500 carbon intake is crazy ?
Bought at msrp. Just dropped 12k between parts and labor today. I think 1500 is crazy for a intake lol

I'm interested in seeing Eventuri inlet pipe paired with the PRL HVI. That is appealing to me. CF should be better at managing the heat than a metal inlet pipe....hmmm
I might go that route eventually, if I could afford the full Eventuri kit I'd toss the PRL out lol

As Ac12 said - the cheaper ones, ie the open element ones. It's why I like my Pipercross, it probably loses power in the heat here but I've never noticed that - what I do notice is all the fun sounds.

I did not watch the hour long video. Anyone care to recap and summarize best to worst intake performance?
They did chapterize it to make it easier but basically it's almost in order they are shown. The open intakes don't make power, the enclosed ones might make 10hp/20tq. I'd either go cheap or Eventuri personally depending on if you want sounds or you want underhood bling, the Eventuri also *probably* makes a few ponies in the real world. I'll admit the CF enclosed jobs look sweet but unless I'm at a C&C event the hood is closed so what I hear is more important to me.

I have tuned a car with the Gruppe M intake and didn´t like how it affected maf readings. Fuel trim went to -10% in high loads as soon as the intake was installed. This means the maf is reading more air that it should, so car will run richer, with less boost and less timing. It can be fixed with tuning but I didn´t like it.

(I´m not trying to hurt gruppe M here, maybe there is another factor that I´m not taking into consideration, and since it´s a remote tune, I have little control over that, but it´s on my radar now and I will keep a close eye to other cars with the same setup to understand what is going on)

The car was 20.000km from me so I don´t know if anything wrong was done on install but I found the results to be very weird.

Many intake brands design the air box and maf housing to read slighly different than stock, so ecu compensates with more timing, less fuel and sometimes more boost, depending on how the car is tuned at the factory. But in this case the difference in readings were contrary to what could give better results.

So, there is no simple answer to your question, the intake can make power by simply being less restrictive and allowing more airflow to the turbo, or by tampering with the maf readings. If it´s less restrictive then you will make more power even when tuned, if it just tampers with the maf readings then after tuned the power difference can disappear.
close to the end of the video they tested two weeks later an intake again because the design of the inlet was wrong. I think is Gruppe M but not sure

Where did you order it from?
I emailed them months ago expressing my interest, no link to purchase through their website yet. I’ve been in contact with Salman for a while now. He posted on the Facebook group a while back. They sent me a couple pics last month that I had to hold onto until the vid went live.

Hell yea! I didn't even know they'll have a CF inlet pipe also. Thanks you just made my decision to go with this intake lol. It was either this one or the GruppeM.
