More boost, modified final drive, amongst other things. There is a lot of info out there on this including a video Misha did, it was definitely not a production car.

I wouldn't be surprised if 90% of other manufacturers do the same.

Jayemm on youtube drove the GTS on some back roads and wasn't really impressed with it. His review kind of removed the GTS/GT4 from my thoughts. Although he was underwhelmed with the fl5 and thought the fk8 was a bit more fun.
I can't watch that guy anymore. Occasionally he'll post an interesting video but his takes are so inconsistent. He'll change his mind from the morning to the afternoon, and some of the things he gripes about are objectively petty.

Seek other cartuber opinions. Or better yet, find a way to drive the cars you're interested in yourself.

There’s an overindexing in enthusiast circles on what YouTubers think. A reviewer posts a hot take and suddenly it becomes gospel. But why are we outsourcing our own opinions? I’m not losing sleep over what Shmee or Chris Harris say about a car, and you shouldn’t either.

Their reviews are just one data point. Useful? Sure. Definitive? Not even close. I disagree with plenty of their conclusions once I’m behind the wheel myself.

In sum, nothing replaces your own seat time. Go drive the car. Form your own impression. It’ll tell you more in five minutes than any video ever will, and it might just change your whole outlook.

Amen.

And as you mentioned it here earlier about the rear suspension of the gt4RS when probably most if not everyone here has not driven it/don't have the skill to actually drive that car at its full potential.

Chris Harris said the gearing is too long so a manual Cayman is a trash sports car.

Had 2 track oriented 911's. (gt2, 993).
Prefer the FL5 - less stressful to own, park, and get.
What is the current gt3 market is just wrong to drivers in so many ways.

I have under 10k miles on my Gt3 and these days I am almost afraid to drive it (especially with idiot drivers in LA traffic) as the resale values on these cars are so high and the cost to fix anything is insane. My race shop guy always told me "don't bring anything to the track you aren't willing to walk from if its on fire" GT3 for sure no longer falls into that category for me at least. The only problem is every time I DO get in the car I get a Joker smile on my face that doesn't come off for at least 24 hours lol. I'm not sure as far as pure driver engagement there is a better car available even at twice the price...as long as we are talking about manual transmission cars.

I feel the same way with the FL5.

What I like the most is the "under the radar" of it. Those who know REALLY know. Most think I am a kid with a wing issue. The CW is timeless. My mechanic LOVED the simplicity. His words. (you have to really admire the engineering that goes into making a car drive the way these do that is "simple"....not rear steering or odd coatings...just pragmatic, elegant engineering. Porsche is very complex...change plugs.....the design assumes excess labor. Up until recently they and their owners have talked them up and up...that bubble seems to have burst. I follow the 992 gt3 threads still on rennlist - there are some major engine issues brewing for some of these 9k rpm engines...and the engines are NOT affordable to a normal person...

https://rennlist.com/forums/992-gt3...1-must-read-gt3-engine-oil-pump-failures.html

In my hands, the FL5 gives me as much fun ON THE STREET as my gt2, perhaps really even more. The issue is this....you can use the FL5, push it, feel it. The gt2 was so fast on the street that to really have fun I might have killed someone or myself. I know of a lot of "wrapped around a tree stories" with 911 (old and new). I did HPDE to avoid that - but it made street use of the car boring. Seems now in my older and wiser self pointless. Things "they all do that" seemed to be plentiful with the Porsches...owners don't mention the negative in public....the 911's all cost a lot to keep on the road no matter what stuff they push out.

I do dream of a Singer one day...but that would cause me to worry even more about "events"....maybe if I win powerball.

A couple minutes of me, with no track experience and full bolt ons chasing a Corvette Grand Sport with bolt ons and a CT4-V Blackwing.
