Congrats! I actually did not like the Alcantara wheel on my '21 FK8. I have always felt Alcantara does not hold up well for daily driving purposes and better ideally suited for improving grip when used in tandem with driving gloves.msrp + alcantara steering wheel + $499 doc on my new SGP from Apple Tree here in NC. this is my 2nd R from them and waiting the 7 weeks is gonna be tough ??
i work remotely from home and put maybe 800-1000 mi a year on my cars (I have a few & none are a daily lol). i was gonna order the Mugen Alcantara shiftknob to match but am having doubts about thatCongrats! Picked up the Black one. Used your post to connect with Tim. They were very responsive and there was zero jerking around.I just checked Ganley Honda's website where I purchased my 2025 CW Type R from. They still have the 2 boost blue, but now they have a black one also for anyone looking. The black one should be slightly cheaper.
Very nice. Congratulations. That car wasn't there when I picked up my car, so it wasn't there for more than a couple of weeks. I'm glad my post helped someone. I tried to get free accessories added, but they wouldn't do it unless I financed.Picked up the Black one. Used your post to connect with Tim. Flew out, they picked me up at the airport. Drove home to Chattanooga. 46k OTD after trip expenses. Ended up being nearly $1K "saved" per 100/mi on the way home.
Not an amazing deal, but considering the only Black FL5 in TN has already had it's front bumper repainted due to transport damage (and was asking 52K) AND the next closest (in Alabama) wanted to start a deal at +10K MSRP... I'm content. Thanks BayouRFL5?
lol they were trying to sell me this car up until last week, legit daily calls (bdc rep named Savannah, vin # ending in 54)MSRP on a CW. Dick Brooks Honda Greer, SC. Nik was my salesman. Good guy, good dealer. No BS.
Yep, they got two type R's in CW in last week. Was told they came off the truck Monday. I stopped by on Monday to check them out that day. My vin ends in 46. From what I was told, they didn't have a buyer for another CW one, ready to go so the other white one was going to another dealer, and maybe they were going to get a Red one in exchange.lol they were trying to sell me this car up until last week, legit daily calls (bdc rep named Savannah, vin # ending in 54)
yes'm, bought an sgp 1/23 from the store i bought my fk8 from. having lived in the bay, its CRAZY to me that these are still so wildly priced in CA years laterYep, they got two type R's in CW in last week. We should all be so lucky as to have a salesperson calling us with an MSRP deal on a Type R. I know it doesn't work like this in SoCal or other large cities.
I guess you found a Type R prior to these deliveries from another dealer? I see your sig shows a 2025.
So rough estimates…25% Tariff placed today on imports, it’s going to be interesting how this changes the price of the FL5 and those already here.
