OEM tire size? or did you go to 35 aspect ratio for more sidewall height?

Looks awesome, I am trying to decide between keeping the OEM rims and going 35. or getting 18" rims with 35 aspect ratio tires.

For me, functionality trumps looks... I am concerned about pothole damage to the rims and tires, which is why I am looking at more side wall. though I am not sure that going from 30 to 35 will give any more protection...

Yup OEM tires. I was a bit skeptical because of the 19x10, I thought it would stretch but it’s perfect. A35 would provide more comfort but take me out of the $200 OEM per Tire market . I don’t have the ITS Module but am considering it although the ride quality is OEM. But I’ve heard good things about the ITS module.

Saw this posted and wanted to try it out, definitely works a lot better than the OEM charging pad, and doesn't slide around. Snaps into the "rails" of the charging pad.

Or you can go 275/30, which will give you a bit more sidewall and contact patch width at the same time - win, win!

though on the other hand, Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus 275/35ZR19 ($282 at Tire Rack), have a 50k mile warranty which makes them cheaper per mile

side note: Michlines PS AS4 with 45K mile warranty on my previous 07 FA5 Si only lasted only 14k miles, and I got substantial prorated discount for the next set, no questions asked, and that's a good thing since I have no idea why they got bold so quickly


I have the ITS DE5 module. for me (and my 61 years old back) it makes a noticeable difference.

FL5 +R was not usable for me on street or freeway driving, while DE5 is tolerable...

I have individual mode set to comfort with the DE5 and I like it a lot for daily driving, freeways and streets. OEM suspension, tires and rims.

my top choice is actually 275/35ZR19 Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus

but will take at least a year or two before I'll need new tires.

the OEM tires have 4k miles on them. based on past experience with 07 FA5, both original OEM and various others, I do not expect the OEM tires to last more than 10k miles
